Reddit user lulnerdge wrote: “5070 died completely, PNY sent me a 5070TI to replace it. HotHardware reported the account on March 31, 2026, and said the precise RTX 5070 Ti variant was unclear. The available account includes no dates that would show how long the RMA took, and no PNY confirmation or case documentation independently verifies the replacement. HotHardware’s report likewise treats it as a reported user experience, not a confirmed company service record.

NVIDIA describes the RTX 5070 Ti as a Blackwell-based GPU with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation. Any performance figures NVIDIA publishes for selected games and settings are vendor claims, not independent benchmarks. NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 Ti announcement has its product and partner information.

If the account is accurate, this customer received a higher-tier model than the failed RTX 5070. It is a positive anecdote, not evidence of a standard PNY policy, a guaranteed upgrade, or a typical RMA outcome. The Reddit discussion includes other users’ favorable and unfavorable anecdotes, but those comments do not establish a company-wide rate or policy.

The post and report do not identify the replacement’s exact RTX 5070 Ti model or establish whether it was an overclocked variant. PNY’s announced RTX 50-series lineup included both RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti, but that does not identify the card sent in this case. PNY’s RTX 50-series announcement.
