For sealed Magic: The Gathering products, compare a local game store with listings on TCGplayer and Amazon; for a specific card, search singles listings or ask local stores what they have in stock. Wizards names all three as routes for its releases, but no one seller is reliably cheapest. Check the seller, product condition, shipping, and return terms—and compare the total delivered price before buying.
Choose the purchase that matches what you want
Booster boxes and bundles are sealed products
Buy a booster box or bundle when you want unopened packs or the particular extras included in that product. Wizards’ official product pages distinguish options such as Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and Bundles; check the exact set and product name before ordering. A listing for one kind of booster or bundle is not interchangeable with another.
Singles are the direct route to a named card
If you want a particular card, compare individual-card listings rather than assuming a sealed box or bundle will contain it. On a marketplace, inspect the card’s condition, the seller, shipping charges, and return terms. Local game stores may also stock singles, but inventory varies by store.

Wizards has identified local game stores, TCGplayer, and Amazon as outlets for its 2026 Hobbit and Star Trek products. Its policy says local Wizards Play Network (WPN) stores begin selling new tabletop products when Prerelease events start, so a WPN store can be a useful option for release-week availability. For the named products, Wizards listed The Hobbit’s tabletop release for August 14, 2026; it lists Star Trek’s release for November 13, 2026, which is still upcoming as of October 4, 2026. Wizards names the three routes as preorder options for Star Trek, not as proof that released stock is already available. See its The Hobbit product page and Star Trek product page.

Find a nearby store or event
Use Wizards’ Store and Event Locator to search for WPN stores and Magic events; it supports event and date filters. Contact a store directly to confirm its stock, price, preorder policy, and return terms.
Use TCGplayer’s WPN filter as a seller signal
TCGplayer’s WPN filter narrows results to participating WPN sellers. It does not establish that a particular listing is in stock, is the lowest-priced offer, or has any particular shipping or return terms. Check the individual listing and seller before checkout. Compare the actual offer, not just the headline price
- Confirm the exact set and product. Check whether the listing is for the booster type, bundle, or single you intend to buy.
- Identify the seller. A product listed on a marketplace is not necessarily sold directly by that platform. Review the seller information and relevant feedback.
- Calculate delivered cost. Include shipping and any other charges at checkout; headline prices do not make offers directly comparable.
- Check condition and packaging. For singles, read the stated card condition. For sealed items, check that the listing describes an unopened product and review the return policy.
- Read delivery and return terms. These are seller- and listing-specific, so confirm them before paying.
Prices and stock change by set, seller, and location. The information here does not establish a universally cheapest store or a live delivered price; compare the current checkout totals available to you.
How to reduce the risk of counterfeit or tampered products
Wizards of the Coast Support’s article “Verify You are Purchasing Legitimate Wizards of the Coast Products”, updated July 28, 2026, recommends buying from reputable dealers and inspecting sealed products. For online sealed products in North America, Wizards says the Authorized Internet Retailer logo indicates that a store has been approved to sell sealed products online. Treat that as a seller-approval signal, not as a substitute for checking the specific listing and its terms.

- Look for a factory seal and a Wizards stamp on sealed boxes.
- Inspect loose packs for signs of resealing, including vertical heat striations.
- Read auction listings carefully, including fine print about the item being sold.
- Do not accept proxy copies represented as authentic Magic cards.
Wizards’ guidance is direct: “If you suspect the product is fraudulent, don’t buy it.”
