The Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Starter Kit is a two-player beginner product that originally released on June 13, 2025. Wizards of the Coast previously named Amazon as a preorder retailer, but current Amazon stock, seller and price are not confirmed. Treat “back in stock” as unverified until you check the live listing.
What the FINAL FANTASY MTG Starter Kit is
This is a physical, introductory Magic product built for two people to learn and play. It is not a booster box or a Commander deck. Wizards describes it as “two ready-to-play FINAL FANTASY decks” with a Play Guide to help players get started (Wizards of the Coast product page).
What’s in the box
Square Enix’s North American store listing specifies these contents:
- Two prebuilt 60-card decks
- Two deck boxes
- A Magic play guide booklet
- Four double-sided tokens
- Two double-sided reference cards
- Two Arena code cards, which unlock both decks for two people to play online
Square Enix says an account is required to redeem the Arena codes and lists their expiration as September 1, 2030. These contents and code terms are from the Square Enix Store listing.

What’s known about Amazon availability
In its May 20, 2025 article about the set, Wizards said the Starter Kit was available for preorder through local game stores and online retailers such as Amazon. That is historical retailer information, not evidence of a current restock. A targeted search on October 4, 2026 did not surface a matching Amazon product detail page, so a live offer, seller, price and inventory could not be verified.
If you find an Amazon listing, confirm that it is the Starter Kit—not another FINAL FANTASY Magic product—and check the seller, delivery estimate and price shown at checkout. The absence of a surfaced listing does not prove the kit is unavailable.

Release date and original MSRP
Wizards of the Coast lists June 13, 2025 as the global tabletop release date and $19.99 as the Starter Kit’s original MSRP in its May 20, 2025 collecting guide. That MSRP is historical; it is not a verified current Amazon price or a promise that the kit can still be bought for that amount.
