First, check the official Golden Knights schedule for the specific game. A blackout may be correct: nationally exclusive games use the broadcaster listed for that matchup, while regional games use different viewing options depending on whether you are inside the team’s television territory. For 2026–27, the team lists 15 nationally exclusive games and 69 regional Scripps Sports games; confirm the listing because the schedule is subject to change.
Why is the Golden Knights game blacked out?
“Blacked out” can describe three different problems: the game’s broadcast rights exclude it from your service, your location is outside that service’s territory, or the service cannot verify a location that should be eligible. A playback or app problem can also prevent a correctly listed game from starting.
- National rights: Some games are exclusive to a national broadcaster and are not available on KnightTime+. KnightTime+ explains that games broadcast exclusively by ESPN or Turner Sports will not be available on KnightTime+.
- Territory: KnightTime+ is limited to the Golden Knights’ television territory. The team lists Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and certain counties in California and Nebraska; Utah is outside the territory beginning with the 2024–25 season. Check your ZIP code, since state boundaries alone do not establish eligibility. See the team’s territory information.
- Location verification: An “Out of Market” or location error can mean KnightTime+ cannot verify where you are, rather than that the game’s rights exclude you. Its location-error guidance recommends disabling VPNs or proxies and enabling location access.
- Technical playback: If the game is listed for your service and your location is eligible, troubleshoot the app, device, permissions, and connection.
A VPN is not a dependable way to resolve a rights blackout; VPNs and proxies can instead prevent the service from verifying your location.
How can I watch the game tonight?
- Open the official schedule and select the exact game. Note whether the listing names ESPN, ABC, TNT, or a regional Scripps Sports broadcast. The 2026–27 schedule announcement identifies national exclusives and says the schedule is subject to change.
- Check your viewing location. Compare your ZIP code with the team’s territory information. KnightTime+ is intended for eligible viewers in that territory.
- Choose the route that matches the listing. For a regional game in territory, try KnightTime+ or the local Scripps station. For a regional game outside territory, the team’s current 2026–27 announcement points U.S. viewers to ESPN Select. For a national exclusive, use the broadcaster named on that game’s listing.
- If the right service still blocks you, follow the location or playback checks below. Verify the game’s listing again before subscribing: one service should not be assumed to carry every game.
Is the game on KnightTime+, ESPN Select, ESPN, or TNT?
The route depends on the game’s broadcast classification and your location—not simply on which team is playing.

| Game listing or situation | Where to check | What the current team information says |
|---|---|---|
| Regional Scripps Sports game; viewer in team territory | KnightTime+ or the local Scripps station | The 2026–27 announcement lists 69 regional games on local television and KnightTime+. Team season announcement |
| Regional Scripps Sports game; U.S. viewer outside team territory | ESPN Select | The 2026–27 announcement says ESPN Select carries Scripps Sports broadcasts for U.S. viewers outside the territory. Out-of-territory guidance |
| Nationally exclusive game | The broadcaster named for that game, such as ESPN, ABC, or TNT | The team lists 15 nationally exclusive games for 2026–27; these do not appear on KnightTime+. Schedule announcement and KnightTime+ exclusivity information |
| Preseason game | The Spot–Vegas 34 or KnightTime+ | The team says all four 2026–27 preseason games are on those outlets. Team season announcement |
Older KnightTime+ support material refers more generally to ESPN platforms for out-of-territory viewing. For the 2026–27 season, use the team’s newer ESPN Select information and check the game’s current service listing. Do not assume that “ESPN” or an existing subscription includes every game: regional out-of-market broadcasts and national exclusives follow different routes.
What can I do if KnightTime+ thinks I’m in the wrong location?
- Turn off VPN or proxy services. KnightTime+ says these can interfere with location verification.
- Allow location access. Check that the streaming device or app has permission to use location services, then reopen the app.
- If you use Starlink, verify location on a phone first. KnightTime+ recommends checking location on a GPS-capable phone connected to the same home Wi-Fi as the TV or streaming device. Its Starlink instructions also say home location can be changed up to twice per year.
- Recheck the game and your ZIP code. A location fix cannot make an out-of-territory or nationally exclusive game eligible on KnightTime+.
What if the game is listed correctly but the stream still will not play?

- Heat Sealed Team Logo on Front - Heat Sealed Name and Numbers on Back
- Material: 100% Polyester - Machine Washable - Tagless Collar

- Update the KnightTime+ app and the streaming device’s software.
- Restart the app and device.
- Confirm location permission is enabled.
- Check the internet connection. KnightTime+ gives 10–15 Mbps as general guidance for HD streaming; this is not a guaranteed minimum for every device or stream.
If those checks do not help, note the exact error message and device before contacting service support. The error and device details help distinguish a rights restriction from a location-verification or playback fault.

The team says Scripps Sports regional games air on The Spot–Vegas 34 in Southern Nevada and affiliated stations throughout the team’s television territory. Its tune-in information lists Vegas 34 over the air on channel 34.1 in the Las Vegas Valley. An antenna may work where the station’s signal reaches, but reception depends on location and antenna placement; check local coverage and the seller’s return terms before buying. An antenna will not receive a game that is exclusive to a national network.
