The code for the briefcase in the ruined RPD’s S.T.A.R.S. Office is RRR. It contains the Power Shades Charm for the Requiem, which gives the weapon limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last round in its cylinder.
Where to find the briefcase
Look in the armory room at the back of the S.T.A.R.S. Office, upstairs in the ruined RPD. The briefcase is inside a locker.

How to solve the code
Spoilers for the clue trail: If you want to find the combination yourself, follow the notes and book in the RPD.
- Read Barry’s to-do list, which points you toward a book Captain Wesker borrowed.
- Go to Wesker’s office and check the desk drawer for a library card for The Medicinal Benefit of Herbs. The card marks the book as returned to the Library.
- Head upstairs in the Library and find the book on a shelf on the west side.
- Open the book and examine the photograph of Rebecca Chambers. The note on its back reads “Rising Rookie Rebecca,” yielding the initials RRR.
- Return to the armory briefcase and enter R-R-R.
What the Power Shades Charm does
The charm is for the Requiem. Its reported in-game effects are limitless bullet penetration and increased firepower for the last round in the cylinder. These effects apply to the fictional weapon in the game.
