- Look for the processor information. If the chip’s specific version is not displayed clearly, Samsung recommends using CPU-Z to identify it. Check the app’s processor information on the handset itself.
- Record the complete model number. Find it in About Phone, then compare it with Samsung’s official specification for that exact model and sales market once those details are published.
The processor name shown on the phone is the most direct check for an actual unit. The model number helps confirm that the software information corresponds to the specific regional variant.
Buying a Galaxy S27 Ultra? Verify the exact unit
Before buying, ask the seller for the complete model number and, where possible, inspect the processor information on the handset. Match both against Samsung’s official model-specific specification. A country name, retailer listing, or Galaxy S27 Ultra branding alone does not establish which processor is inside.
Samsung’s official Galaxy S26-series announcement lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and Exynos 2600, and notes that the application-processor type may vary by device and market. What is confirmed about the S27 Ultra chipset?
As of October 4, 2026, Samsung has not officially confirmed the S27 Ultra’s processor or published a country-by-country allocation in the official sources reviewed. Recent reports conflict: SamMobile reported on October 2 that allocation had not been decided, while MoneyToday reported on September 1 that Samsung was considering Exynos in some markets, including South Korea. Model-specific technical documents can help resolve a chipset question once a device and its variants are defined. For example, an Android 16 Fall Security Target hosted by the Common Criteria Portal lists earlier Galaxy devices and their chipset/model families, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in the S25 Ultra.
