To make a habitat in Pokémon Pokopia, arrange the required items or terrain together; recipes range from patches of grass and flowers to specific furniture combinations. The Habitat Dex can help track what you have built, but the available references disagree on how many habitats there are: PokopiaDex lists 209 as accessed October 4, 2026, while Pokopia Habitats Guide lists 213 on the same date. Neither total is verified here against an authoritative, versioned in-game list, so treat them as database counts rather than a definitive completion target.
Use the recipes below as examples of how habitat requirements work, not as a complete checklist. GameSpot’s guide, published March 13, 2026, explicitly described its list as incomplete. The reference databases also indicate that time, weather, and zone can affect which Pokémon appear. A habitat may attract a Pokémon; building one does not establish that a Pokémon will appear immediately.
How do I make a habitat in Pokémon Pokopia?
Place the required items in the specified arrangement or create the required terrain patch. Some recipes depend on quantity alone, while others specify adjacency, an enclosing object, a particular kind of water, or an action such as lighting campfires. Check the Habitat Dex entry for the exact recipe and any appearance conditions.
The examples below come from GameSpot’s guide, which was incomplete at publication. Use them to understand recipe patterns, not as a complete or guaranteed-current list. [GameSpot’s habitat guide]

Which Pokémon may appear in a habitat?
A habitat recipe tells you what to build, but it does not by itself establish an immediate spawn. Which Pokémon may appear can also depend on time, weather, and zone, according to the PokopiaDex habitat index. Look up the individual habitat and Pokémon entry for those conditions rather than assuming that a recipe has the same results in every situation.
Habitat placement and Pokémon appearance conditions are separate questions. Pocket Tactics says habitats may be placed in any area, while some Pokémon are time-restricted or exclusive to Palette Town. Nintendo Life’s guide distinguishes general and regional item variants—for example, a hedge marked “any” can come from any region, but a named hedge variant is region-specific. How many habitats are there?
There is no single verified total in the cited references. PokopiaDex lists 209 habitats on its page accessed October 4, 2026; Pocket Tactics also calls its list 209 and says it was updated April 7, 2026; Pokopia Habitats Guide lists 213 on its page accessed October 4, 2026. These are counts reported by those guides and databases, not a confirmed official game statistic. [PokopiaDex; Pocket Tactics; Pokopia Habitats Guide]
The four-entry difference is unresolved by these sources. GameSpot’s March 13, 2026 guide says its own list was incomplete, so it should not be used to settle the total. For a completion checklist, use a current reference that identifies its update date and compare entries with the Habitat Dex in your game version; do not assume any of these third-party totals is canonical.

How to use a habitat list as a recipe index
- Match the exact object and count. Four grass, eight flowers, and three campfires are different requirements; a similar-looking arrangement may not meet the recipe.
- Check the relationship between objects. “Around,” “beside,” “in a row,” and “mounted” describe placement, not just which objects to own.
- Confirm item variants and terrain. Ocean water is called out for Seaside Tall Grass, and some region-named items are not interchangeable with any-region versions.
- Read appearance conditions separately. Time, weather, and zone can restrict Pokémon even when the habitat itself is valid.
- Track source dates and coverage. Lists can differ in their counts and completeness; use the in-game entry and a dated reference when checking a specific recipe.
