Spoiler warning: Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic has three endings described in current walkthroughs: Clock Off, Parachute.exe, and the Secret Ending. At the Security Office, hand over the Data Diver for Clock Off, or keep it and run Parachute.EXE to reach the alternate route. How many endings are in Secret of the Mimic?
Third-party ending guides describe three routes: Clock Off, Parachute.exe, and the Secret Ending. Names differ between guides and achievement labels: Twinfinite calls the first achievement “Clock Out,” the alternate route “Unfinished Business,” and the completionist route “Story Time.” These are labels used by guides, not confirmation from the developer that a particular ending is canon.
The routes diverge after returning from the Tunnels and escaping Tiger Rock. The instructions below follow walkthroughs, rather than an official developer ending guide; exact steps could change with a game update.
Choose an ending at the Security Office
When you reach the endgame Security Office, the key decision is whether to give the Dispatcher the Data Diver or keep it. The first choice closes the case; the second opens an additional route.

Clock Off: hand over the Data Diver
- At the Security Office, put the Data Diver in the Inventory box as the Dispatcher instructs.
- Leave through the garage to trigger Clock Off. Twinfinite uses “Clock Out” for the associated achievement route.
Parachute.exe: keep the Data Diver
- At the Security Office, do not put the Data Diver in the Inventory box.
- Connect it to the HELPER computer and run Parachute.EXE.
- Follow the revealed vent route to the entrance showroom.
- Operate the Goodbye Show control to continue through the alternate ending sequence.
Twinfinite labels this route “Unfinished Business.”
How to get the Secret Ending
The Secret Ending is the completionist route: Twinfinite’s walkthrough reports a requirement of all 25 presents/items, deposited through the inventory system. The maintained endings guide also describes a full New Game Plus completion, a return through the Costume Manor, and collectible hunting.

- Find and deposit all 25 collectibles. The walkthrough says the Tiger plush may be the final item to secure; if you missed it on your first run, New Game Plus may be necessary.
- At the endgame point, keep the Data Diver and use the HELPER computer to run Moon.EXE.
- Complete the resulting mini-game. The collectibles serve as props, and the route they enable leads to the special-clearance sequence.
Achievement guides may call this route “Story Time.” The 25-item requirement is a walkthrough’s reported gameplay requirement, not an independently measured statistic.
Which ending should you choose?
- For the direct route: choose Clock Off by handing over the Data Diver.
- For another ending sequence: keep the Data Diver and run Parachute.EXE; this adds a vent and showroom detour.
- For completion: pursue the Secret Ending, which requires the collectible hunt and can involve New Game Plus.
These routes are presented by third-party guides as endings, but that does not establish which—if any—is officially canon.

Steam lists Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic as released on June 13, 2025, developed by Steel Wool Studios, and published by ScottGames. The store description places the game in Edwin Murray’s abandoned Costume Manor workshop, where the Mimic is a prototype endoskeleton able to adapt to costumes.
