WB Games says internet access is needed to download game updates, although an internet connection is not required to play the game. The reviewed official sources do not say that a physical edition bypasses required updates or fixes download errors. They also do not establish that a storage card will resolve a failed download.

If the download finishes but the game will not start
Record whether the console displays an error when launching, check the game and console software versions, and retain the exact message. A completed download does not establish that a launch error has the same cause as a stalled download.

- If it still crashes, record the area or action where it happens and whether it is repeatable.
- Contact WB Games Support or Nintendo Support with the exact error, game version, when the failure occurs, and the steps already taken.

The LEGO Group’s May 19, 2026 launch announcement said the Switch 2 version would arrive later in 2026; Nintendo’s later listing supplies the release date.
WB Games’ official FAQ says the game can be played without an internet connection, while online access is needed to download game updates. Nintendo Switch Online is not required to play. The FAQ does not provide a title-specific repair for crashes, stuttering, or failed downloads.
