Start Scrooge McDuck’s Parks Fest scavenger questline with Dreamlight Parks Fest: Dig It. The 2026 event overview identifies the Mine Cart chain as Dig It, Ovals, Rectangles, and Shinies. Progress through the chain until the Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket recipe becomes available.
Gather the recipe ingredients
Check the recipe in your crafting menu before collecting materials. Two 2026 secondary walkthroughs report this common recipe, but one notes an alternate ingredient; use the quantities displayed in your game.

Craft the bucket and claim the duty
- Open the crafting menu and select the Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket recipe.
- Craft one bucket using the ingredients shown in your game.
- Open the Village Duties list and check that Mine Time! is marked complete, then claim its reward.
The listed rewards are the Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket furniture item and a handheld cosmetic version. The duty action described by the walkthroughs is crafting the bucket recipe; an anecdotal player post instead mentions crafting the handheld version, so rely on the duty entry’s completion status.
If the recipe is missing or you cannot craft it
- Recipe unavailable: Continue Scrooge’s Parks Fest scavenger questline; the recipe is gated behind its progression.
- Ingredients do not match a guide: Follow the quantities and button types displayed in your crafting menu. Some versions reportedly use 20 Flower Buttons in place of 10 Red Buttons.
- Not enough Purple Buttons: Craft them yourself, spending 1 Blue Button, 2 Red Buttons, and 100 Dreamlight for each.
Can you finish Mine Time! after Parks Fest?
The 2026 event overview lists Parks Fest as running June 10–30, 2026. That window has passed. According to that overview, saved buttons can still be used for most duties after the event, but players cannot gather additional buttons once it closes. It does not establish when Parks Fest will return, so post-event completion depends on whether you already have the materials you need.
