What the October 2026 tier list tells you
Pocket Gamer’s Soul Strike tier list – Characters ranked according to performance is marked version 3.2.6 and was updated October 4, 2026. Its update notes Laurent, Ruelle, Aiyo, Hannia, and Riel as additions. The page says its assessment draws on the author’s experience and community information; it does not provide a named study, measured win rates, or a statistical method. Treat the bands as editorial guidance, not a controlled comparison or an official developer ranking.
S tier: a broad shortlist
The page places the following allies in S tier: Charlotte, Zeros, Aiyo, Laurent, Howard, Chocolat, Hannia, Yeonhwa, Lumiel, Gestella, Zion, Ijin Yu, 003, Yeo-un Cheon, Avalanche, Sayah, Jiwoo Seo, Grandis, Rebecca, Chodan, Magenta, Scarlet, Edward Elric, Ignis, Eve, Alphonse Elric, Artamiel, Munkyu, Riza Hawkeye, Roy Mustang, Ran, Yuna, Felino, Sophia, Baine, Vivet, Vivian, Jayna, Mona, Duke, Violet, Mina, Delia, Inabelle, Wraith, and Versper.
The page describes S-tier allies as performing well into later stages. Its list contains repeated names or variants and apparent spelling inconsistencies, including one entry rendered “Roy Mustand”; check the in-game name and the current page when matching an ally. Tier placement alone does not establish a particular ally’s role, skill setup, equipment, or matchup performance.

A and B tiers: account for team fit
Pocket Gamer describes A-tier allies as strong for most content, with more dependence on team synergy than S-tier allies. That makes A tier worth considering when an ally fits the team you can field better than a higher-ranked alternative. The page characterizes B-tier allies as less effective than the tiers above and advises replacing them when better allies become available. Neither description proves that every higher-tier choice will outperform every lower-tier choice on your account.
The supplied ranking information does not identify the A- and B-tier rosters here, so consult the version 3.2.6 list itself for those names rather than relying on an incomplete roster summary.

Build from your roster, not an idealized one
A tier list can only help you choose among allies you can use. Com2uS publisher material describes selected ally summons and progression systems, while its announcements also show that acquisition opportunities can rotate. Those facts make availability and investment practical constraints; they do not establish which summon or upgrade is best for a particular account.
- Write down the allies you actually own. Compare those names against the latest list rather than planning around an ally you cannot currently field.
- Keep the mode in view. A team decision for Companion Arena is not automatically a general-progression recommendation.
- Use tier as a tiebreaker, not the whole decision. If two available allies are close choices, consider how each fits the rest of your team; the ranking specifically says A-tier picks lean more on synergy.
- Recheck after major updates. The five additions recorded in the version 3.2.6 update show that the list’s coverage can change. Revisit it before rebuilding around a new release or a changed roster.
The published material does not establish a complete role-based formation, particular synergistic pairs, or a universal PvE lineup. Without those details, the sound recommendation is to compare the allies available to you and test choices in the mode you care about—not to infer a fixed combination from tier letters alone.

Make a separate decision for Companion Arena
Com2uS describes Companion Arena as the game’s first PvP content in its announcement. The publisher says players field five strategically positioned allies and that weekly points determine promotion or demotion. This makes Arena a distinct team-building problem: choose a five-ally lineup for that mode rather than treating it as the default answer for all progression.
The same announcement describes three entry tickets daily, additional tickets purchasable with Aether up to five attempts, and six rank tiers from Bronze to Challenger. The announcement’s publication date is not established in the reviewed material, so confirm ticket rules, rank details, and other Arena mechanics in your current game version before planning around them.

What the tier list cannot tell you
- It is not a guarantee. The ranking’s own author says no tier list is absolute.
- It does not quantify the gaps. The reviewed page provides no substantiated win rate or other performance statistic with which to measure how far apart tiers are.
- It does not supply a verified build. The available evidence does not establish a universal PvE lineup, role assignment, skill rotation, or equipment setup.
- It may not reflect every region or live availability. The publisher announcement mentions Ruelle in a Korean update, while the English tier list places Ruelle in A tier. That does not establish that a summon or event is currently available in every region.
Use the tier list to narrow your options, then make the final choice around your actual roster and game mode. For a newly added ally such as Ruelle, distinguish a ranking placement from whether and how you can obtain that ally in your region and current version.
