The fastest reliable way to build free Black Cards (BC) in Punishing: Gray Raven is to unlock the mission systems through the main story, claim daily rewards, and finish weekly missions in War Zone and Phantom Pain Cage. Then add one-time story clears, achievements, and current event rewards. Keep BC separate from recruitment tickets: tickets can provide pulls, but they are not Black Cards.
How to get Black Cards in Punishing: Gray Raven
Free BC come from a mix of recurring missions and finite rewards. Prioritize recurring sources once they are available, then collect one-time rewards from story content, achievements, and events. The exact rewards shown can change with the Global version and event schedule, so check the current Mission and event screens in your game client.

What should you do first?
- Advance the main story. Reach Normal 1-10 to open daily missions, then continue to Normal 4-8 for War Zone. Phantom Pain Cage is listed at Commandant level 35 / Normal 5-7 in the community Beginner’s Guide [unlock details].
- Claim daily mission rewards. Complete the tasks you can manage and collect the activity rewards; unfinished or unclaimed rewards do not build your balance.
- Do the weekly activities your account has unlocked. Include War Zone and Phantom Pain Cage when available, and check the weekly mission panel for remaining objectives.
- Collect finite rewards while progressing. Clear available story stages, claim first-clear and achievement rewards, and finish event missions before their deadlines.
- Check the currency type before counting a reward. Black Cards are not the same as Event Construct R&D Tickets or other recruitment tickets.
How much free BC can you expect?
PityCalculator.com’s 2026 guide estimates about 30 BC per day from daily tasks and about 1,000 BC per week from Phantom Pain Cage stages and War Zone combined. Those are third-party estimates, not guaranteed amounts from Kuro Games; actual rewards can depend on account access and the current reward configuration [PityCalculator.com, 2026].
The same guide estimates 5,200–6,700 BC per month for an active free-to-play player, or roughly 21–27 pulls at 250 BC per pull. Treat that as an estimate, not a fixed monthly allowance: event schedules, progress, and version changes affect what an individual account receives [estimate] [pull conversion]. No authoritative itemized total for all BC available in the current Global patch is established here, so the in-game Mission and event panels are the best guide to what remains claimable on your account.

Why older BC totals may no longer match
Kuro Games’ Global version integration announcement says daily and weekly mission rewards scale with the number of integrated versions and describes scaling for several permanent modes. It also says version-specific events can be adjusted and replaced with missions. The announcement is reproduced in the community post [Global version integration announcement]. Because rewards can be adjusted as versions integrate, a calculation from an older patch may not describe the current setup.

Event missions and sign-in campaigns can add useful rewards, but do not automatically count every free pull as BC. For example, the community event calendar for the Global patch window around October 4, 2026 lists a Date A Live V collaboration sign-in and story event, with free pulls provided as tickets rather than a general monthly BC allowance [community event calendar]. Event dates and rewards change; verify the current campaign in game before planning around it.

- Black Cards: the currency you earn and accumulate as BC.
- Recruitment tickets: separate items that may be usable for pulls on particular banners.
- Finite rewards: story clears, first clears, and many achievements can be collected once rather than farmed indefinitely.
- Recurring rewards: daily and weekly missions can be revisited according to the game’s current reset schedule.
How to make free BC go further
Decide which banner you are saving for before spending BC. Banner rules and the value of a particular pull depend on the version and banner, so check the in-game details rather than assuming every ticket or BC balance applies identically. Avoid treating one-time story rewards as ongoing income, and use the live mission and event panels to distinguish rewards you have already collected from those still available.
