For a more dependable AION 2 in-game macro, keep the sequence short and purposeful, bind its activation to a comfortable key or mouse button, and check that every step has an intentional delay. Create the sequence and assign its activation binding as separate tasks, then test it in your current regional client. Community guides describe this setup, but there is no verified best delay or published measurement showing how much any setting improves reliability.
Which settings matter most?
Focus on three things: a binding you can reach reliably, a sequence that does one clear job, and per-step delays you have checked in the client. These are practical setup choices, not proven performance optimizations: the available guides do not rank keys or delay values, or quantify reductions in input errors.
- Binding: Choose a reachable key or mouse button that is comfortable for you. A community settings guide recommends a comfortable binding; it does not establish that a specific key or device is better. Community settings guide
- Sequence: Keep it compact and focused so you can tell what it is meant to do and notice when it does not behave as expected.
- Delays: The community macro guide describes setting delays for individual steps. Check the options and values shown by your own client rather than assuming a universal timing value. Community macro guide
Set up the macro and its activation binding
The community guide describes creating a macro through the skill interface, then assigning the macro action to a separate key binding. Its guide also describes holding the assigned key to run the sequence. Exact menu labels and behavior may differ by region or update, so follow the controls displayed in your installed client.
- Create the sequence: Open the skill interface and configure the macro steps there. Keep the sequence limited to one clear purpose.
- Set each step’s delay: Review the delay for every step and make sure each value is intentional. The reviewed guidance does not specify an optimal number.
- Assign the activation key: Open key settings and bind the macro action to a comfortable, reachable key or mouse button. Creating the sequence alone does not assign the key that activates it.
- Test before relying on it: In the current client, confirm that the binding activates the intended sequence and that the steps behave as expected. Adjust the sequence or delays if the observed behavior is not what you intended.
How to choose a reliable configuration
There is no evidence-backed configuration ranking, so choose based on what you can verify in play rather than a purported best key or timing value.

Built-in macro feature versus external automation
Do not assume that support for an in-game macro means every external macro tool or automation method is permitted. In a January 28, 2026 announcement, NCSoft described measures to address botting and unauthorized automation, including measures aimed at limiting automated gathering macros. The announcement provides policy context, not a comprehensive ruling on every peripheral, remapping tool, or use case. AION 2’s official site describes play on PC, mobile, and game controllers, but the reviewed official pages do not specify an authoritative macro-delay setting. Do not assume that macro controls or behavior are identical across platforms or client versions. Official AION 2 site

If the macro does not work as expected
- Nothing happens: Check key settings to confirm the macro action has an assigned binding; creating a sequence and binding its activation are separate tasks.
- The sequence behaves unexpectedly: Review the individual steps and their delays in the skill interface, then test again in the client.
- The instructions do not match your menus: Treat community menu names and behavior as version- and region-sensitive. Use the labels and options in your installed client rather than assuming another client’s layout applies.
