Yes. Samsung’s U.S. Freestyle 2nd Gen projector (model SP-LFF3CLA) includes Samsung Gaming Hub, which lets you stream games from supported cloud services without connecting a console. You’ll need an internet connection, a compatible controller and, depending on the service and game, a provider account or paid subscription. Availability varies by country and service.
How cloud gaming works on the Freestyle 2nd Gen
Gaming Hub is a built-in way to access participating game-streaming services; it does not mean a console is included or that games run locally on the projector. The game is streamed over the internet from the selected service. Samsung described the projector as supporting console-free play when it announced U.S. availability on August 31, 2023 (Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement).
Samsung’s current U.S. Gaming Hub page lists Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, Utomik, Antstream Arcade, Blacknut and Boosteroid (Samsung Gaming Hub guidance). The exact services and playable games depend on provider, region and device support, and provider catalogs can change. Samsung’s 2023 launch announcement cited more than 3,000 games across Gaming Hub partners at that time; that is a dated launch figure, not a verified current catalog count.
What you need to play
A compatible controller
Samsung’s launch instructions tell owners to sync a Bluetooth controller before playing. Its current Gaming Hub guidance also describes support for Bluetooth and USB 2.0 controllers. Confirm that a particular controller works with your setup before buying it; Samsung’s guidance does not establish compatibility for every model.

Internet and service accounts
Gaming Hub requires an internet connection. Samsung’s Canada FAQ recommends a stable connection of 20 Mbps or faster for cloud gaming on supported Samsung TVs, but that is not a tested minimum or performance guarantee for the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector (Samsung Canada Gaming Hub FAQ).
A Samsung account is not required for every aspect of Gaming Hub, although Samsung recommends one to get more from the service and enable partner services. Individual providers may require their own login and subscription.
Is Gaming Hub free, and do you need Game Pass?
Samsung says Gaming Hub is free to use; that does not make every hosted service or game free. Fees, plans and game access are set by the individual providers, so check the service and title you want in your country before subscribing. You do not need an Xbox console to use Xbox cloud gaming, but access to particular Xbox titles depends on the current service and subscription terms.
In November 2024, Samsung said owners of select devices, including Freestyle 2nd Gen, could stream titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Flight Simulator 2024 through Xbox Game Pass on Gaming Hub (Samsung’s Xbox Game Pass announcement). That dated announcement confirms a supported path at the time; it does not establish that those titles or the same subscription terms remain available now.

Does Gaming Hub work in your country?
Do not assume every Gaming Hub service is available on this projector everywhere. Samsung’s Boosteroid announcement on November 14, 2023, listed Freestyle 2nd Gen among compatible projectors while describing availability on compatible 2022 and 2023 devices in select territories (Samsung’s Boosteroid announcement). Check Samsung’s current device and regional information as well as the provider’s own country and plan restrictions before relying on a specific service.
What the projector adds beyond gaming
Samsung’s U.S. launch specifications describe a 30-to-100-inch projection range, Full HD resolution of 1080 × 1920, a cradle that tilts through 180 degrees, built-in 360-degree sound, Tizen OS and a weight under two pounds. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent measurements (Samsung’s launch announcement).
Samsung describes Smart Edge Blending as a way to combine two Freestyle projectors for a larger display of pictures and videos. Its description does not establish that blending works with cloud-game output, so it should not be treated as a supported way to make a bigger gaming image (Samsung’s product-development interview).
What to check before choosing it for gaming
- Confirm that the cloud service and games you want are supported in your country on the Freestyle 2nd Gen.
- Check whether those games require a paid plan or separate provider account.
- Use a compatible Bluetooth or USB 2.0 controller.
- Consider whether a Full HD image and a projection size within Samsung’s stated 30-to-100-inch range fit your room and viewing needs.
Samsung’s published information establishes cloud-service access, but does not establish projector-specific latency, frame rate, HDR support or competitive-game performance. Those outcomes should not be assumed from the presence of Gaming Hub.
