Pokémon GO’s Rowlet Community Day took place on January 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. It is over; no future Rowlet Community Day or Community Day Classic is confirmed by the available announcements. The key event detail for collectors was a limited evolution window: evolve Dartrix by 10:00 p.m. local time to get Decidueye with Frenzy Plant.
When was Rowlet Community Day?
The event ran Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Rowlet appeared more frequently in the wild, and Shiny Rowlet was available. Niantic’s official event announcement has the full historical schedule and event terms.
How to get Frenzy Plant Decidueye
Evolve Dartrix during the event or within five hours after it ended—by 10:00 p.m. local time on January 6—to obtain Decidueye that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant. This was a limited evolution window tied to the 2024 event.
Which moves could Decidueye learn?
Frenzy Plant was the move tied to the event’s evolution deadline. Separately, Decidueye could learn Spirit Shackle starting with the event and continuing afterward; Spirit Shackle was not restricted to the five-hour window.

What bonuses were active, and when?
Most bonuses applied during the three-hour event window. The trade bonuses lasted until 10:00 p.m. local time.

What happened after the main event?
From 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time, Dartrix appeared in special four-star raids. Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes could be used; Remote Raid Passes could not.
Winning a raid caused additional Rowlet to appear near the Gym that hosted it for 30 minutes. Niantic said those Rowlet had the same Shiny chance as Rowlet during the three-hour Community Day. Unlike the main event window, these raids offered a way to trigger extra local Rowlet spawns after 5:00 p.m.

Research, showcases, and event offers
The 2024 announcement also listed themed Field Research, which could reward Rowlet encounters, Stardust, and Ultra Balls; PokéStop Showcases; encounters after taking snapshots; and optional event Special Research.
Historical offers included a $9.99 Web Store Ultra Community Day Box with 120 Ultra Balls, 15 Silver Pinap Berries, six Incubators, and one Incense, plus in-game bundles priced at 1,350 and 480 PokéCoins. These were offers associated with the January 2024 event; the announcement does not establish that they remain available.

No future Rowlet Community Day or Community Day Classic is confirmed by the announcements cited here. Pokémon GO’s January 19, 2026 schedule announcement covered dates only through May 2026, so it does not settle whether an event was announced later in the year or afterward.
