Turn the three red demon-mask statues away from the central stone pillar so they face the fire, and turn the unmasked fox toward the pillar. If none of the statues have been moved, use the sequence below to reach that arrangement.

What the puzzle clue means
The clue reads: “The mountain raised the boy as her own. Demons looked away from them in fear. But the wolf watched them both, ready to provide aid.” The three red, masked statues represent the demons; the unmasked fox represents the wolf. Set the masked statues facing away from the central pillar and the fox facing toward it.
Solution for statues in their original positions
Use this sequence only if you have not already rotated any statues:

- Rotate the front-left statue twice.
- Rotate the back-left statue twice.
- Leave the back-right statue alone.
- Rotate the front-right statue twice.
Each rotation also moves the statue to the right. That linked movement is why the order matters; the sequence above accounts for it from the puzzle’s untouched starting state.
If you have already moved a statue
The move list assumes the original arrangement, so it may not produce the right result after earlier rotations. Check the final orientation of each statue instead: all three masked statues should face away from the pillar toward the fire, while the unmasked fox faces the pillar. PowerPyx gives a different sequence for an untouched puzzle—front-left once, back-left twice, front-left once, then front-right twice—but it reaches the same target arrangement.
