Amazon’s October 2026 Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, but the official event announcement does not confirm a specific PS5 console deal. The clearest reported savings are on games and accessories, while a Sony Certified Refurbished console is a separate option to compare with new listings. Check each offer’s live price, seller and terms before buying.
When is Prime Day 2026, and what is the October event called?
Amazon’s October sale is officially called Prime Big Deal Days, and Amazon announced it for October 6–7, 2026. The regular 2026 Prime Day event took place earlier, June 23–26. Amazon’s October announcement describes Prime Big Deal Days as an event for Prime members, with deals available while supplies last. That does not establish that every PS5 offer requires Prime, or guarantee a particular console discount; check the terms on the individual listing.
Are there PS5 console deals during Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon’s event announcement does not name a PS5 console offer or provide a PS5 price. GamesRadar’s October coverage reported US Sony Certified Refurbished prices of $499 for PS5 Digital Edition and $549 for PS5 Slim, and noted that discounts on new consoles were difficult to find. Those are retailer-reported snapshot prices, not confirmed Amazon offers or guaranteed live prices. Check GamesRadar’s October PS5 deals coverage and verify current availability and price with the seller.
A certified refurbished PlayStation Direct console is a different purchase from a new console listed on Amazon. Compare the exact model and disc-drive configuration, included bundle items, total checkout price, seller, stock, and the listing’s warranty and return terms. The available reporting does not establish current PlayStation Direct stock or the terms attached to a particular listing.

What PS5 games and accessories are on sale?
Tom’s Guide’s October 1 early-deals guide reported PS5 games and accessories from $6. That is a dated starting-price snapshot, not confirmation that the same items or prices remain available on October 7. See Tom’s Guide’s early gaming-deals roundup, then check the product page for the exact title or accessory, seller, current price at checkout, stock and any Prime-member restriction.
For games, confirm that the deal is for the edition and format you want. For accessories, check compatibility with your PS5 setup and whether the listing includes all required components. A low starting price alone does not establish that a particular item is a good value.

How to compare a PS5 offer before buying
- Match the product. Confirm the PS5 model, Digital Edition or disc-drive configuration, and any bundle contents. For a game or accessory, verify the precise edition or item.
- Compare like with like. Compare new hardware with new hardware, or certified refurbished with certified refurbished; do not treat those conditions as interchangeable.
- Check the final checkout price. Review the listing price and any shipping or other charges shown before placing the order.
- Verify the seller and terms. Inspect who is selling the item, whether Prime membership is required, and the listing’s warranty and return conditions.
- Recheck availability. Amazon says event deals last while supplies last, and editorial deal roundups can become outdated. Confirm the offer is still live when you buy.
Is it worth waiting for another PlayStation sale?
Sony also runs its own promotions. Its Days of Play 2026 promotion ran May 27–June 10. That shows another channel to watch, but does not predict when a future promotion will happen or what it will include; Sony advises checking PlayStation Blog and PlayStation.com for future details.
