Capture cards, clear the table for a Scopa sweep, and use changing rules and bonuses to push your score higher. The demo’s stated endpoint is the end of Table 3.
What is Scopa Sweep?
Developed and published by Static Fire Games, Scopa Sweep Demo released on Steam on September 19, 2026. It places Scopa in a local restaurant, where you face a rival and try to build a high score by capturing cards and completing objectives. The Steam demo listing identifies it as a free demo for Windows.
How does the demo play?
The basic goal is to capture cards from the table. Clear every card on the table and you earn a Scopa sweep, which increases your score multiplier. Objectives can add further bonuses.
Rules and bonuses change as you play
- Patrons affect scoring multipliers and rules.
- Card enhancements modify card rules.
- Boss twists introduce extra challenges.
- Objectives reward you with bonuses when completed.
Together, these systems put a roguelike layer on top of Scopa’s card-capture play: the challenge is not only to take cards, but to adapt to changing conditions and make scoring opportunities count.

The separately listed full game is planned for October 26, 2026, and describes an Endless mode that continues past Table 8. That is full-game information, not content included in the demo; the date is a planned release date, not a confirmation of final availability. See the separate Scopa Sweep full-game listing for its current details.
Does Scopa Sweep Demo need a physical card deck?
No. The demo is a digital Steam game and does not require a physical Scopa deck. For context, the developer’s press kit describes traditional Scopa as using a 40-card Italian deck with four suits: Denari, Coppe, Spade, and Bastoni. A deck is relevant only if you also want to play the tabletop game; it is not required for the demo.
