Dungeon Munchies 2 is announced to launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on November 6, 2026. The developer says the opening build will cover the first story chapter and about two to three hours of gameplay. The Steam listing currently shows the game as “Coming soon,” so the date is the announced schedule, not confirmation that the store page has already switched to a live release.
When does Dungeon Munchies 2 come out?
maJAJa announced November 6, 2026, for the sequel’s Early Access launch. Gematsu’s October 5, 2026 report identifies the release as PC via Steam. The Steam listing identifies maJAJa as developer and publisher, but its captured status was still “Coming soon.” Check the live listing for any status or schedule change.
What will be in the Early Access build?
The developer describes Dungeon Munchies 2 as a side-scrolling action-adventure about a zombie chef, the necromancer Simmer, and cooking extraterrestrial monsters. Combat and cooking are tied to character-boosting, as the story follows an exploration of extraterrestrial cuisine.
For launch, maJAJa says the first build will contain the opening story chapter and about two to three hours of gameplay. That is the developer’s estimate for the initial Early Access content, not a measure of the finished game.

What does the developer plan to add?
maJAJa says it expects Early Access to last roughly two to three years and plans to add further story chapters, levels, abilities, enemies, and story development as work continues. The developer also says it intends to use feedback from players to adjust balance and make improvements, with Steam Community and Discord as its primary feedback channels. The duration and additions are plans and estimates, not guaranteed scope or schedule.
Explaining the reason for Early Access, maJAJa writes on the Steam page: “We need player feedback to help bring Dungeon Munchies 2 to its fully cooked state, just like we did during the development of the first Dungeon Munchies.”

Should you play at launch or wait?
The choice mainly depends on whether a short opening chapter is enough for you. The initial build is estimated at two to three hours, while the developer’s broader plans are for a longer game developed over an estimated two to three years. If you prefer a more complete story and expanded content, waiting may suit you better. If you want to try the opening and offer feedback during development, Early Access is designed for that purpose.
The developer says the game’s price is expected to increase after Early Access ends, but has not stated an amount in the cited information. No launch price is established here, so check Steam for current pricing and availability.
