Which PS5 game was included?
MLB The Show 26 was included in Sony’s September 2026 PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup as a PS5 title. Sony announced that the September games were available from September 1 through Monday, October 5. The lineup also included Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5, PS4), Wobbly Life (PS5, PS4), and Chained Echoes (PS4). Sony’s September announcement lists the games and dates.

What did “free for 24 hours” mean?
A report published October 5 described about one day remaining to claim the September games. It was the closing stretch of the regular Monthly Games window, not a one-day free trial. The game was included at no additional charge for eligible PlayStation Plus members during that claim period. The October 5 report says the offer applied to Essential, Extra, and Premium members; Sony’s cited September announcement refers to PlayStation Plus members generally rather than enumerating those tiers.
Can you still claim MLB The Show 26 through this offer?
No. Sony’s published September claim period ended October 5, 2026. The October Monthly Games lineup began October 6, so the September offer is no longer available. The October lineup consists of F1 25 (PS5), Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5), and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4), scheduled through November 2. Sony’s October announcement gives the dates and platforms.

What if you claimed it before the deadline?
According to the October 5 report, access to claimed Monthly Games depends on keeping an active PlayStation Plus subscription. The offer was a subscription benefit, not a permanent free copy. Check the terms and game listing for your own account and region for current details.

Sony notes that Monthly Games lineups can vary by region and directs members to their local PlayStation Store. The dates and titles above describe the announced September and October lineups; confirm availability and terms in your country rather than assuming every store is identical.
