What the list is—and what it is not
Retro Dodo reported on October 2, 2026, that an online user known as Funky90sLion had assembled a Google document listing projects described as human-made. The curator says the list will be updated and welcomes corrections. The document’s live URL and contents after the article’s update have not been verified here, so this account does not point to a confirmed current copy.
Think of it as a community directory: a place to find projects the curator has grouped together, rather than a formal certification of their authorship or development methods. Retro Dodo says the curator planned to contact creators, but does not establish that every entry was confirmed by its creators or audited.
Why the curator says it was created
In a post attributed by Retro Dodo to FunkyLion ‘Yuyake’ on October 1, 2026, the curator said they were tired of untested “vibecoded” ports that were buggy and difficult to fix without experienced coders, and invited people to suggest projects for the list. That is the curator’s assessment, not a measured comparison: the article supplies no failure-rate data or independent analysis of AI-assisted ports.

The document’s introductory text, as quoted by Retro Dodo, points to classic games brought to PC with features such as mods, uncapped frame rates, and multiplayer, while raising concerns about AI-assisted ports being untested or buggy. Those concerns explain the list’s purpose; they do not establish that any particular project is defective or that every listed project uses the same development process.
