The central loop is straightforward: dig, collect items, sell them, and use the proceeds to upgrade your equipment so you can continue downward. The digging is the activity; the mystery beneath the garden gives the progress a destination.
Can you play it on Windows 10 or 11?

The Steam listing identifies the game as single-player and lists Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. Those are Steam-listed features; they do not establish that other platform versions have identical features.

DoubleBee’s official Steam community announcements say the game became available on iOS and Android and include a warning about copycat apps. The announcements also include a console release post, but platform and release-date details should be checked in that specific announcement rather than inferred from a feed mention. If you want the Windows edition, Steam is the digital purchase route established by the available listing.
Is there an official story book?
There is an official story novel listed as additional digital content on Steam: A Tale About Digging a Hole – The Official Story Novel. Steam also offers a Story Bundle that includes the game and novel. The listing establishes digital Steam content, not a paperback or other physical edition.

How many copies has it sold?
DoubleBee’s official Steam community announcement reported that the game had sold over one million copies. That is a developer-reported milestone; the captured announcement does not establish its publication year, and the figure should not be treated as a current or independently audited sales total.
