Yes—IO Interactive has said there will be another Hitman game. But the available statement does not confirm that it will be called Hitman 4 or give it a release date. CEO Hakan Abrak said the studio would discuss the next Hitman after talking about the World of Assassination co-op mode. Meanwhile, 007 First Light has already launched.
What IO Interactive has confirmed
In a reported interview, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak said: “But we will after that be talking about the next Hitman–because, of course, there’s going to be a next Hitman.” GameSpot reported the comment in the context of the studio’s plans for World of Assassination co-op.
That is confirmation of another game in the series, not an announcement of its formal title, release date, or launch window. Calling it “Hitman 4” is therefore shorthand, not a confirmed name. Abrak’s wording also ties discussion of the next game to discussion of the co-op mode; it does not establish when either will arrive.
Where 007 First Light fits
IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced 007 First Light on June 4, 2025, describing it as a standalone, reimagined James Bond origin story. IOI announced that the game launched globally on May 27, 2026. Its launch announcement listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon.com, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version described as following later in summer 2026. See IO Interactive’s 007 First Light information for current platform details.

The broad sequence in Abrak’s interview supports saying that IOI plans to discuss another Hitman after its co-op plans. It does not support treating “after 007 First Light” as a promise that the next Hitman will launch immediately after Bond’s game, or within a particular period.
