To unlock Flynn Rider in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete the Fairy Tale Trial in the Wild Woods, present three pieces of evidence to the growling door, then place and build Flynn’s house for 10,000 Star Coins. The trial is part of The Storybook Vale expansion.
Unlock the Wild Woods trial
The Wild Woods is the first Everafter area available in The Storybook Vale. Unlock it for 2,000 Storybook Magic, then follow the biome path to the Fairy Tale Trial portal and enter. In the opening chamber, use the Royal Net on the mechanism to open the way to the middle chamber. Talk to the growling door: the character behind it claims to be a wolf. You need to find proof that he has oversized feet, a wolfish smell, and a fierce howl. GameSpot’s Flynn Rider walkthrough describes the area unlock and trial entrance.
Find the Wolfish Slippers
Use the Royal Net on the golden wheel to open the route to the slippers puzzle. Petrified Wood blocks the way; clear it with the upgraded Royal Pickaxe, which you obtain during the “Welcome to Storybook Vale” quest.
Inside the room, read the book and set the four numbered symbols to match its clues:

Make Eau de Wolf
Return to the central chamber and use the Royal Net on the cooking-room golden wheel to open that route. Collect the three ingredients from the tables and combine them at the cooking station:

Get the Howling Gramophone
At the question-mark marking in the main room, use the Royal Shovel to cycle the floor symbol until it shows a castle. You may need to dig more than once. Enter the room that opens, then switch to Furniture Mode to arrange the building materials in order of strength:

Return to the growling door and present the Wolfish Slippers, Eau de Wolf, and Howling Gramophone. The door opens and reveals Flynn Rider. Follow the scene and interact with the corruption when prompted.

To recruit Flynn, place his house somewhere in the Vale. Interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign beside it and pay 10,000 Star Coins to construct the house. Speak with Flynn after construction to finish the quest.
