Yes. Assassin’s Creed Origins has downloadable content, including two major story expansions: The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs. Ubisoft also sells a Season Pass that combines both expansions with bonus items, while the separate Deluxe Pack adds a quest, gear and ability points. Which content you need depends on your edition, platform and account, so check your existing entitlements before buying anything.
The two major story expansions
The Hidden Ones
The Hidden Ones is the first major story expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins. Ubisoft places it four years after the events of the main campaign and sends Bayek to the Sinai region. The expansion adds a new sequence of missions, an outfit, weapons, mounts and other equipment.

It also increases the level cap to 45 and adds two crafting levels. Ubisoft recommended it for players who were close to level 40, so starting immediately with a low-level character can make the experience unnecessarily difficult. The expansion launched on January 23, 2018, according to Ubisoft’s launch announcement.
The Hidden Ones is available as an individual purchase and is also part of the Season Pass. Owning the base game alone does not automatically establish that you own this expansion; the edition or account entitlement must include it.

The Curse of the Pharaohs
The Curse of the Pharaohs is the second major story expansion. It takes Bayek into a mystical realm populated by undead pharaohs and legendary creatures, giving the game a markedly more supernatural setting than its historical main campaign. Ubisoft also raises the level cap again for this expansion.
It is sold separately and is included in the Season Pass. Ubisoft’s current US DLC catalog lists both story expansions as individual products as well as offering the combined pass: Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC.
What the Season Pass contains
Ubisoft Help lists the Season Pass contents as both major story expansions plus several bonus items. The pass is therefore broader than a package containing only the two campaigns.

The complete contents are documented on Ubisoft Help’s Assassin’s Creed Origins support page, updated June 9, 2026. If you already own one expansion, compare the remaining items and the price shown for your account before purchasing the pass; buying a bundle can otherwise duplicate content you already have.
What the Deluxe Pack adds
The Deluxe Pack is separate from the two major story expansions. Ubisoft says it includes the Ambush at Sea quest, the Desert Cobra Pack and three ability points. Ubisoft’s support information notes an exception for the Ubisoft+ Edition, so do not assume that every edition applies the same way.
The Deluxe Pack does not replace the Season Pass. A copy that includes Deluxe content can still require a separate entitlement for The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs unless the edition also includes the Season Pass. Conversely, owning the Season Pass does not, by itself, establish ownership of the Deluxe Pack’s listed items.

Are the expansions included with your edition?
There is no single answer for every copy of Origins. Ubisoft states that multiple editions include the Season Pass and that multiple editions include the Deluxe Pack. Edition names, storefront descriptions and entitlements can differ by platform and region, and a subscription edition can follow different rules from a purchased edition.

- Find the exact edition name in your platform library, purchase receipt or Ubisoft account.
- Look for an explicit “Season Pass” entitlement if you want both story expansions.
- Look separately for “Deluxe Pack” or its listed contents if you want Ambush at Sea, the Desert Cobra Pack and three ability points.
- Confirm that the account currently signed in is the one that bought the base game and add-ons.
- Check the platform and region. A purchase made for one storefront account may not appear on another platform account.
Ubisoft’s current product pages are useful for checking the description of a particular edition, but the page you see at checkout is the authority for the price and entitlement offered to your account. The live US base-game catalog is at Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins listing.
How to buy the right DLC
- Identify what you already own. Open your platform’s library or add-on management screen and record whether you have The Hidden Ones, The Curse of the Pharaohs, the Season Pass or the Deluxe Pack.
- Choose individual expansions or the pass. If you need only one story campaign, compare its standalone listing. If you need both campaigns and the bonus items, compare the Season Pass listing. The Ubisoft US catalog displays separate listings, but regional catalogs and prices can change.
- Check the account and edition at checkout. Make sure the purchase is being made for the same platform account that runs your copy of Origins. Read the included-content list rather than relying on a product name alone.
- Install the add-on. After purchase, use your platform’s game management or downloadable-content screen to start the download. Some platforms download the files automatically; others require you to select each add-on.
- Launch the game and load your save. Once the content is installed and the entitlement synchronizes, the expansion should become available from the game’s normal progression and quest systems. If it does not, close and restart the game and check the account again.
Prices, discounts and regional availability are not permanent catalog facts. Verify the amount shown for your country, platform and currency immediately before confirming the transaction.

Which DLC should you play first?
If you are still progressing through the main story
Finish enough of the main campaign to bring Bayek close to level 40 before beginning The Hidden Ones. That matches Ubisoft’s recommendation and gives you access to the level-cap and crafting progression the expansion is designed to use.
If you want a straightforward story sequence
Play the major expansions in release order: The Hidden Ones first, followed by The Curse of the Pharaohs. The first continues Bayek’s post-campaign journey in Sinai, while the second moves into its supernatural realm. This order also lets you use the progression increase from the first expansion before tackling the later one.

The Season Pass includes the Horus Pack, Roman Centurion Pack and Calamity Blade in addition to its two stories. The Deluxe Pack is the relevant purchase for Ambush at Sea, the Desert Cobra Pack and three ability points. Decide based on the specific items you lack rather than assuming that every “complete” edition contains the same extras.
Best Value
When purchased DLC does not appear
Confirm ownership before reinstalling
First verify the transaction history and the add-on list for the account that owns the base game. If the platform shows the purchase on a different account, reinstalling the game will not transfer the entitlement.
Check that the edition includes the content you expect
A Deluxe Pack entitlement is not the same as a Season Pass entitlement. Re-read the edition description and compare it with Ubisoft’s support listing. This distinction explains why a player may see Deluxe items while still being asked to purchase a story expansion.
Refresh the installation
Use the platform’s manage-content screen to confirm that the add-on is installed, then fully quit and relaunch the game. If the store shows ownership but the game does not, sign out and back in to the purchasing account and allow the platform to synchronize licenses. Menu names vary by platform, so follow that platform’s own license or add-on refresh procedure.
Escalate with proof of purchase
If the correct account owns the add-on, the edition description includes it and the installation is complete, contact Ubisoft Support with the receipt, platform, region and account details. Avoid buying the same DLC again while an entitlement issue is unresolved.
Bottom line for AC Origins DLC
Assassin’s Creed Origins does have DLC. The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs are the two substantial story expansions; the Season Pass includes both plus 500 Helix Credits, the Horus Pack, the Roman Centurion Pack and the Calamity Blade. The Deluxe Pack is a separate bonus package with Ambush at Sea, the Desert Cobra Pack and three ability points. Check your edition and account first, then choose the standalone expansion or pass that supplies content you do not already own.
