The ACEMAGIC AD15 is a configurable mini-PC family, not one fixed machine. The current US listing is an Intel Core i5-12450H model, while the detailed independent review most often cited tested different i5-11500B and i7-11800H versions. That distinction matters: performance results, upgrade decisions and value depend on the exact processor, memory and SSD fitted to the unit you are considering.
On paper, the current i5-12450H version is appealing for everyday productivity and compact multi-display setups. It offers two SO-DIMM slots, an M.2 2280 slot, a separate 2.5-inch SATA bay and a broad selection of ports. The sensible buying decision is therefore configuration-aware rather than a simple yes-or-no verdict.

ACEMAGIC AD15 verdict
The AD15 makes the most sense as a small, expandable desktop for office work, study, browsing, media playback and general multitasking. Its strongest documented advantages are connectivity and upgrade room: the current listing specifies two HDMI 2.0 outputs, USB-C DisplayPort 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, four USB-A ports and space for both an M.2 drive and a 2.5-inch SATA drive.

ACEMAGIC currently lists an i5-12450H configuration, whereas Notebookcheck’s detailed test covered an i5-11500B system and also reports an i7-11800H variant in comparison tables. Those processors have different architectures and performance characteristics. The independent conclusion that the tested unit delivered “good everyday performance” applies to Notebookcheck’s sample, not automatically to every AD15 SKU.

For a purchase decision, verify the processor name first, then check the installed RAM and SSD capacity, the seller’s warranty terms and the delivered regional price. If those details match your workload, the AD15’s documented expandability gives it a practical advantage over mini PCs that have only one memory slot or one storage position.
Identify the AD15 configuration before comparing reviews
ACEMAGIC uses the AD15 name across multiple processor configurations. A listing title, product photograph or review headline that says only “AD15” is incomplete information. Use the exact CPU designation printed on the sales page or system information screen.
| AD15 configuration | Evidence available | Processor details | Installed memory and storage in the cited unit | How to use the evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current US listing: Core i5-12450H | ACEMAGIC product page observed in October 2026 | 8 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.4 GHz turbo | Options shown: 16 GB RAM plus 512 GB SSD, or 32 GB RAM plus 512 GB SSD | Use the official specifications for ports and expansion. Do not substitute older benchmark results for a direct test of this CPU. |
| Core i5-11500B | Notebookcheck detailed review | 6 cores, 12 threads | 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD in the tested system | Useful independent evidence for that processor version only. |
| Core i7-11800H | Notebookcheck comparison tables and a 2023 Tech Guy Beau video review | Processor name is reported; the cited material does not establish a directly comparable current test of the i5-12450H | Configuration differs by source and should be confirmed on the individual listing | Use as historical AD15-family context, not as a performance guarantee for the current listing. |
This configuration split also affects price comparisons. A 32 GB model and a 16 GB model are not interchangeable values, and a 1 TB review sample cannot be compared directly with a 512 GB retail bundle without accounting for the storage difference.

What independent testing actually establishes
Notebookcheck reviewed an AD15 equipped with the Core i5-11500B, 16 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD. Its article includes CPU, graphics and application benchmark tables and compares the machine with other compact PCs. Notebookcheck’s summary states: “The Acemagic AD15 impresses in our test with its good everyday performance.” That is a useful indication that the tested configuration handled ordinary desktop work well, but it is not a result for the current i5-12450H model.
The same Notebookcheck page includes i7-11800H AD15 results in comparison tables. Because the processor, firmware, memory configuration and storage can all differ, those historical numbers should be read as family context rather than a direct ranking of the current retail unit. A buyer who needs dependable sustained rendering, code compilation or other long-running workloads should look for a test using the exact CPU and memory configuration being purchased.
Tech Guy Beau’s 2023 video review covers an i7-11800H AD15 and includes a teardown and upgrade segment, cooling and acoustics comparisons, temperature observations, benchmarks, multiple-display checks and gaming segments. The available source description establishes the areas covered, but not independently extracted numerical results. It is therefore best used to understand the review scope, not to assign a measured frame rate or temperature to another AD15 variant.
How the AD15 should perform in everyday use
Office, study and web work
The i5-12450H’s eight cores and 12 threads, paired with 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, are a sensible starting point for documents, spreadsheets, browser tabs, video calls and media playback. The 32 GB option is more appropriate if you routinely keep many heavy browser tabs, virtual machines or large creative applications open. These are workload-based expectations from the listed hardware, not a published benchmark of the current unit.

Content creation and sustained workloads
CPU-heavy tasks can benefit from the i5-12450H’s core count, but the AD15 uses integrated Intel UHD graphics and a compact chassis. The available material does not provide a directly comparable long-duration test of the current model, so do not assume that a short benchmark score predicts sustained export or rendering performance. For professional workloads, check exact cooling behavior, noise and power limits for the seller’s configuration before committing.
Gaming
The integrated UHD graphics solution is designed for display output and everyday acceleration rather than modern high-end gaming. Older, lightweight or esports titles may be reasonable at reduced resolution and quality settings, while demanding recent games will require substantial compromises. No verified frame-rate table for the current i5-12450H AD15 is established here, so treat any seller claim or video demonstration as configuration-specific.
Displays and connectivity
The official specification lists two HDMI 2.0 ports and a USB-C port supporting DisplayPort 1.4, with 4K at 60 Hz specified for these outputs. That gives the AD15 unusual flexibility for a compact office computer: HDMI can serve existing monitors or televisions, while USB-C can feed a DisplayPort monitor or dock.

Three physical outputs do not by themselves prove that three screens will run simultaneously at a particular resolution. Display bandwidth, firmware, adapter type and operating-system behavior can affect the result. If your workstation depends on two or three active monitors, ask the seller to confirm the exact multi-display arrangement for the selected SKU and test each cable and adapter after delivery.

Gigabit Ethernet is preferable to Wi-Fi for stable large downloads, network storage and latency-sensitive work; Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 cover wireless networking and accessories when cabling is impractical.
RAM and storage upgrades
ACEMAGIC documents two SO-DIMM slots with support up to 64 GB, an M.2 2280 slot that accepts NVMe or SATA SSDs up to a stated 2 TB, and a separate 2.5-inch SATA position. That is a stronger expansion plan than a mini PC with soldered memory or one permanently occupied drive slot. Compatibility still needs to be checked against the exact chassis revision.
Use this checklist before ordering parts
- Record the exact processor and the RAM/SSD bundle shown on the listing. AD15 variants can have different factory layouts.
- Confirm that replacement memory is DDR4 SO-DIMM and that the capacity fits the two-slot, 64 GB ceiling stated by ACEMAGIC.
- For the M.2 position, verify 2280 length and whether the chosen drive is NVMe or SATA. The listing says both interfaces are accepted, but the selected unit should be confirmed.
- If adding a 2.5-inch SATA drive, check for the required connector, bracket and cable rather than assuming every retail package includes them.
- Back up the existing system before opening the chassis, and keep the original SSD and memory until the upgrade has been tested.
- After installation, check the firmware or operating system for the new capacity and run a storage and memory test before relying on the machine for important work.
Moving from 16 GB to 32 GB is likely to help multitasking more than replacing a functioning PCIe 3.0 SSD with a faster drive that the platform cannot fully exploit. If your main constraint is storage capacity, the documented 2.5-inch bay can be a practical way to add space while leaving the boot drive in place.
Size, cooling and noise: what is and is not known
The listed dimensions are 183.2 × 150 × 75.5 mm, so the AD15 is small enough for a crowded desk but not so tiny that cable clearance can be ignored. Leave space around the vents and DC input, especially when the machine is mounted behind a monitor or placed in a cabinet.

The Tech Guy Beau review specifically covers cooling, acoustics and temperatures for an i7-11800H model, and Notebookcheck provides test observations for its i5-11500B sample. Those observations should not be reassigned to the i5-12450H unit without a matching test. The chassis, fan curve, BIOS version and power limits can change between configurations.
Price, variants and regional availability
When accessed in October 2026, the ACEMAGIC US page displayed $359 for the shown i5-12450H listing. That is a point-in-time price, not a guaranteed current or recurring offer. The selector displayed 16 GB RAM plus a 512 GB SSD and 32 GB RAM plus a 512 GB SSD options; confirm which option is in your cart before comparing the total with another mini PC.
Current European availability was not established: the EU product URL redirected to ACEMAGIC’s general EU homepage when checked. Regional stock, taxes, delivery charges, warranty coverage and support response can therefore differ from the US listing. Check the product page for your country immediately before ordering and save a copy of the exact configuration and return terms.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsHow to compare an AD15 with another mini PC
Use a like-for-like checklist instead of comparing processor names in isolation. The following order prevents the most common mistakes:
- Processor and graphics: match the exact CPU model and determine whether graphics are integrated or discrete.
- Sustained performance: prefer tests that run long enough to reveal power and thermal limits, not only short burst scores.
- Memory: compare installed capacity, channel arrangement, slot count and maximum supported RAM.
- Storage: note SSD interface and capacity, then count free M.2 and 2.5-inch positions.
- Displays and ports: count the actual HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-A, USB-C, audio and network connections you need.
- Delivered cost: include the exact RAM/SSD option, shipping, tax and any required upgrade parts.
- Support: read the warranty and return policy for your region rather than relying on a generic global statement.
Notebookcheck’s historical comparison tables include several other compact systems, but they do not establish current prices or regional service quality. The official AD15 listing documents advertised features, while independent reviews document particular samples. Neither source alone proves that the AD15 is the best value for every market.
Who should buy the AD15?
- Good fit: a home or office user who wants a compact Windows-class desktop, multiple display outputs, wired networking and the ability to add memory or storage later.
- Good fit: buyers who can identify the exact i5-12450H, i5-11500B or i7-11800H configuration and are comfortable checking the seller’s support terms.
- Less suitable: anyone expecting modern high-end gaming performance from integrated Intel UHD graphics.
- Less suitable: a professional who needs a verified sustained benchmark, workstation-class graphics or guaranteed acoustic behavior but cannot test the exact SKU.
- Proceed carefully: shoppers comparing a 16 GB/512 GB bundle with a 32 GB or 1 TB alternative without adjusting for the capacity difference.
Final assessment
The ACEMAGIC AD15 is a credible compact desktop when judged by its documented expansion and connectivity. The current i5-12450H listing offers a useful core-and-thread count, dual-channel DDR4, three listed display interfaces, modern wireless standards and room for both an M.2 drive and a 2.5-inch SATA drive.
Its main complication is the AD15 name itself. Independent evidence covers i5-11500B and i7-11800H systems, not the currently listed i5-12450H, so buyers should avoid transferring benchmark numbers or thermal conclusions between variants. Confirm the processor, memory, SSD, regional price and support terms at checkout. With that verification, the AD15 is best viewed as an expandable everyday mini PC rather than a universal gaming or workstation replacement.
