The Acer Nitro EI491CUR W3 was reported at Amazon for $599.99 on March 3, 2026, but that was a dated deal—not a verified current price or an established all-time low. Acer’s US listing showed the monitor at $799.99 and out of stock when checked for this article; Amazon’s present price and inventory are unverified.
Which Acer 49-inch monitor was on sale?
The deal was for the Acer Nitro EI491CUR W3, part number UM.SE1AA.301. Acer identifies that exact model on its US specifications page. It is not the separate Predator X49 X, despite both being 49-inch, 240Hz displays.
What did the $599 deal include, and is it still available?
HotHardware reported on March 3, 2026, that Amazon had the Nitro EI491CUR W3 for $599.99, describing the offer as 25% off and $200 below MSRP. Those figures describe that report’s offer, not a live deal. The report also cited a 120Hz alternative at $499.99 and Samsung’s 49-inch Odyssey G93SC QD-OLED at $899.99; those are historical comparison prices, not confirmed current offers. Read the deal report.
Acer’s US Store listing showed $799.99 and out of stock when accessed. That snapshot does not verify Amazon’s current price or stock, and the available information does not establish an all-time-low price history. Check the retailer’s listing and its return terms before buying.

What are the Nitro EI491CUR W3’s gaming specifications?
| Specification | Acer-listed details |
|---|---|
| Screen size and format | 49 inches; 32:9 |
| Resolution | 5120 × 1440 |
| Refresh rate | 240Hz |
| Response time | 3ms GTG |
| Adaptive sync | AMD FreeSync |
| Video inputs | Two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port |
| Other connections | Headphone and audio line-out connections |
| Mounting | VESA compatibility |
These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not a substitute for independent testing. HotHardware describes the deal model as a VA-panel monitor and says it is neither OLED nor mini LED and does not support HDR visuals. VA and OLED are different panel technologies; the price comparison alone does not establish equivalent image quality.
Is it worth buying at $599.99?
At the reported price, the Nitro’s appeal is its combination of a 49-inch, 32:9 5120 × 1440 screen and a 240Hz refresh rate. That format gives games and compatible setups a broad display area, but the monitor’s specifications alone cannot tell you whether a particular game, console, or PC will use the full resolution and refresh rate. Check the output capabilities of your device and the requirements of the games you play.

Consider the panel distinction as well as the numbers: this deal model is described as VA, while HotHardware’s same-report comparison was a QD-OLED monitor. A higher price for an OLED alternative does not make it a direct quality match, and no hands-on comparison is established here. Decide which panel technology and features matter to you, then compare the exact model, refresh rate, ports, warranty, and return policy.
Will it fit your desk or monitor arm?
A 49-inch 32:9 display occupies substantial desk space. Acer’s Store listing gives an approximate weight of 22 lb with the stand. Acer lists VESA compatibility, but before choosing a separate arm or wall mount, confirm the monitor’s mounting pattern and that the mount’s rated load safely covers the display. The weight figure includes the stand, so do not treat it as the monitor’s mounting weight.

How does it compare with Acer’s Predator X49 X?
The Predator X49 X is a separate Acer product, not another name for the Nitro deal model. Acer’s US Store listing for the Predator showed $999.99, reduced from $1,299.99, and in stock when accessed; the listing is a snapshot rather than a price-history record. Acer lists the Predator at 49 inches, 5120 × 1440, and 240Hz. Compare the exact model and its full specifications rather than assuming that the higher-priced Predator is a direct substitute for the Nitro. See Acer’s Predator X49 X listing.
