PC Gamer reported on October 6, 2026, that Amazon listed an Acer Nitro V 16 gaming laptop with an RTX 5070 for $1,199.99, down from $1,299.99. That is a dated report, not confirmation of today’s price or availability. Check the live listing’s seller, stock, shipping, and exact configuration before buying.
What the reported $1,200 configuration includes
The October 6, 2026, deal report describes an Acer Nitro V 16 configured with an Intel Core 7 240H and an RTX 5070 capped at 85 W. The laptop has a 16-inch 1200p display running at 180 Hz, 16 GB of DDR5 memory, and a 512 GB SSD. PC Gamer’s report gives the listed price as $1,199.99, reduced from $1,299.99; neither price is independently verified as current.
Does the RTX 5070 and 1200p screen make sense together?
PC Gamer considers 1200p a plausible resolution for this laptop GPU. The RTX 5070’s stated 85 W power limit is an important part of the configuration, though: the GPU name alone does not tell you the whole story about a laptop’s graphics hardware. The deal report does not provide independent performance tests for this specific machine, so it does not establish frame rates or how particular games will run.
What to know about the 512 GB SSD
A 512 GB drive can mean managing installed games more closely, particularly if you keep several large titles installed at once. PC Gamer suggests adding another SSD later, but the report does not verify the exact SKU’s expansion layout or identify a compatible drive. Check the specific model’s storage options and compatibility before planning an upgrade.

What to check before you order
- Open the current Amazon listing and confirm that it is the Acer Nitro V 16 configuration with the RTX 5070, Core 7 240H, 16 GB DDR5, and 512 GB SSD.
- Check the current total price, seller, stock status, and shipping details; the reported $1,199.99 price may no longer be available.
- Confirm that the listing specifies the RTX 5070’s 85 W limit and the 16-inch 1200p, 180 Hz display, rather than relying on a similar product name.
- If you expect to expand storage, verify the exact SKU’s drive compatibility and expansion layout before buying an SSD.
