That is a dated Australian offer—not a live price check for 7 October, and not enough evidence to confirm it was the year’s lowest price. PC Gamer’s report does not establish the superlative across all 2026 prices, sellers, or markets.
Does the box set really have the year’s lowest price?
That claim is not independently verified. The specific evidence is PC Gamer’s report of an Amazon Australia price of AU$67.99, reduced from AU$140, published 18 September 2026. It does not establish the live price on 7 October or show that no lower price appeared earlier in the year at that retailer.
Other price records are not directly comparable: they concern Indian listings, different retailers, or a different set of books. For example, PriceHistory listed the eight-book set on Amazon India at ₹3,320 on 6 October 2026 and recorded a low of ₹2,134 on 9 January 2025. Those figures describe India, not the Australian offer. PriceHistory’s eight-book set record does not validate an Australian year-low claim.
To assess a current offer, check the exact edition and seller, then compare the delivered price—including shipping—with a price history for that same edition, retailer, market, and period. A lower sticker price for a smaller set is not an apples-to-apples comparison.
Which Witcher books are in the eight-book set?
The deal report concerns the 2024 paperback boxed set, which contains these eight books:
- The Last Wish
- Sword of Destiny
- Season of Storms
- Blood of Elves
- Time of Contempt
- Baptism of Fire
- The Tower of the Swallow
- The Lady of the Lake
Crossroads of Ravens is not included in this box set.
How is it different from the five-book Saga set?
Hachette separately lists a five-novel Witcher Saga Boxed Set. It contains Blood of Elves, The Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of Swallows, and The Lady of the Lake. It is not the eight-book set in the Australian deal report. Hachette’s product page showed the five-book set at US$89.99 and sold out when accessed; that page status and price should not be treated as a current offer.
Hachette’s catalog lists the five-book set under ISBN 9780316498845 at US$79.99 / CAN$101.99, and a separate two-book Witcher Stories boxed set at US$29.99 / CAN$37.99. These are catalog prices, not verified live prices. Hachette’s catalog distinguishes the sets; compare contents and market as well as price.

What other price records show—and don’t show
| Set and market | Recorded price | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Eight-book set, Amazon Australia | AU$67.99, down from AU$140; reported 18 September 2026 | A dated offer reported by PC Gamer; not a live check for 7 October or proof of the year’s lowest price. |
| Eight-book 2024 set, Amazon India | ₹3,320 listed 6 October 2026; tracked low ₹2,134 on 9 January 2025 | India-specific history for the eight-book set, according to PriceHistory. |
| Five-book Saga set, Flipkart India | ₹3,165 listed 28 September 2026; tracked low ₹1,498 on 11 October 2025 | A different set and market, according to PriceHistory. |
| Five-book Saga set, Australia comparison record | AU$44.63 historical low on 1 September 2025 | A historical figure for the five-book set; BuyWisely’s comparison page was last updated 15 May 2026 and says Amazon.com.au price history is unavailable there. BuyWisely’s listing does not establish the eight-book set’s low. |
Because these records vary by edition, market, retailer, and date, none should be used as a substitute for the exact Australian eight-book listing’s price history. Shipping, seller, stock, and account conditions can also affect what a buyer actually pays.
Quick Recap
Which edition should you check before buying?
- Confirm the listing is the eight-book 2024 paperback set if you want the complete collection described in the deal report.
- Check the included titles: the separately listed five-book Saga set omits the first three books listed above.
- Verify the seller, stock, delivery charge, and total price for your location. The reported AU$67.99 offer is specific to Amazon Australia and was reported on 18 September 2026.
- Use a price history for the same edition, retailer, and market before treating a price as a yearly low.
