What role does Adam Warlock fill?
Marvel Rivals labels Adam Warlock a Strategist. His kit asks you to balance three jobs: deal ranged damage, keep allies healthy or protected, and preserve the opportunity to revive the team. He has 275 health and a listed movement speed of 6 m/s on the official hero profile. The July 2026 balance post raised his health from 250 to 275 and reduced Cosmic Cluster damage from 38 to 35.

His support tools work in different ways rather than forming one interchangeable heal: Avatar Life Stream is targeted healing, Soul Bond links allies for healing over time and damage sharing, and Karmic Revival is a temporary area effect that brings downed allies back. That distinction helps determine which ability to use as a fight unfolds.
How do Adam Warlock’s abilities work?
Quantum Magic: ranged basic attack
Quantum Magic fires direct projectiles. The official profile lists 60 damage per round, two rounds per second, 15 ammunition, and damage falloff beginning at 20 meters. When the Ultron Team-Up is selected, the July 2026 balance post lists ammunition capacity as 25 instead of 15. That is a partner-dependent change, not the baseline ammo count.

Avatar Life Stream: targeted healing with two charges
Avatar Life Stream targets an ally, then bounces to other allies. The profile lists 95 healing to a target and 35 healing to Adam when he casts it; it has two charges. Critical hits reduce its cooldown by one second, while hits with Cosmic Cluster reduce its charge time. The June 2026 patch increased the charge-time reduction from 0.48 to 0.6 seconds per Cosmic Cluster hit.
Use it when a particular ally needs healing, especially when nearby teammates can also benefit from the bounce. Its self-heal is part of the cast, so it can support Adam as well as his target.
Soul Bond: linked healing and damage sharing
Soul Bond connects allies, heals them over time, and distributes a portion of their damage across the bond. The official profile lists 15 healing per second, a 15-meter range, a six-second duration, and up to 250 shared damage per target. The bond can end when its duration expires, when an ally moves out of range, or when accumulated shared damage breaks the link.

It offers ongoing support and damage distribution rather than Avatar Life Stream’s targeted burst. Because damage sharing can break the bond, it is protection with a limit—not immunity.

Cosmic Cluster: charged projectiles
Cosmic Cluster charges and releases up to five projectiles; the profile lists 35 damage per projectile. It shares ammunition with Quantum Magic, so using it affects the same ammunition pool. Each hit also shortens Avatar Life Stream’s charge time. The July 2026 balance post documents the damage reduction from 38 to 35.
Karmic Revival: revive allies in a centered field
Karmic Revival creates a revival field with a 35-meter radius around Adam and lasts 10 seconds. The profile lists an energy cost of 4,500. Revived allies return at 30% of maximum health and receive temporary bonus health equal to 70% of maximum health. That temporary health begins decaying after five seconds and reaches zero two seconds later.

Because the field is centered on Adam and lasts for a limited time, where and when you activate it matter: the intended allies must be within its radius during the effect. This follows from the listed field and duration; it is not a claim about a tested optimal tactic.
Regenerative Cocoon: self-revival passive
After death, Regenerative Cocoon lets Adam move as a soul and reforge his body at a chosen spot. The profile lists a 105-second cooldown. It gives him a separate return-to-fight mechanic from Karmic Revival, which is his team-revival ultimate.
How should you combine healing, protection, and damage?
- For a specific ally who needs healing: use Avatar Life Stream. Its bounce can extend that support to other allies, and the cast also heals Adam.
- For allies who need sustained support and damage sharing: use Soul Bond while its connected allies can remain within range. Track the link’s duration and the damage it absorbs.
- To maintain offensive pressure while supporting the team: land Cosmic Cluster hits to reduce Avatar Life Stream’s charge time, while remembering that Cosmic Cluster and Quantum Magic share ammunition.
- When several allies are down: Karmic Revival’s area is centered on Adam, so consider the field’s reach and 10-second duration when choosing when to use it.
These abilities create different trade-offs: direct healing versus linked healing, immediate recovery versus healing over time, and protection for connected allies versus Adam’s own survival tools. They do not establish a universally correct rotation; the relevant choice depends on who needs help and what the fight allows.

What changes with Adam Warlock’s team-ups?
Storm: Heavenly Harmony and Cosmic Cyclone
The official hero profile lists Heavenly Harmony with Storm: Adam’s flight leaves a trail that heals and speeds allies. The profile lists 35 healing per second and a five-second trail. It also lists Cosmic Cyclone, which gives allies linked by Soul Bond a speed boost and, in the enhanced Storm pairing, a damage boost.
Ultron: increased Quantum Magic ammunition
The July 2026 balance post lists 25 Quantum Magic ammunition when the Ultron Team-Up is selected, compared with the profile’s 15-round baseline. It is a conditional ammo-capacity change.
Mantis: Healing Flower improvements in the September patch
The September 11, 2026 patch improved Mantis’s Healing Flower when teamed with Adam Warlock: healing increased from 10 + 2.5% of the target’s maximum health per second to 12 + 3%. In Mantis’s soul form, area healing increased from 5 to 30 per second, and the radius increased from 5 to 8 meters. These are patch-specific values for the Adam pairing, not a description of every Mantis state.
Ultron healing changes announced for October 9
Marvel Rivals published October 9, 2026 update notes on October 6. At the October 7, 2026 research timestamp, that update was still upcoming. The notes announced that, with the Adam–Ultron Team-Up active, Cosmic Cluster healing per hit would increase from 16 to 18 and explosion-field healing from 5 to 7. Check the live game for deployment status before relying on those values.
What does the available balance information establish?
The official profile and balance posts document Adam’s kit and specific changes, but they do not establish his win rate, performance by rank, counters, or strength on particular maps. The listed abilities and patches are therefore a guide to what his tools do, not proof that he is a dominant, weak, or universally suitable pick. As with other live-service character data, in-game tooltips may reflect changes made after the cited official pages.
