For an Indian YouTuber keeping a YouTube stream running 24/7, the affordable alternative to AWS depends on the encoder, stream settings, region, and transfer volume—not just the lowest advertised virtual-machine price. DigitalOcean publishes a $4/month entry Droplet with 1 vCPU, 512 MiB of memory, and 10 GiB of SSD storage, but that starting point is not a verified 24/7 streaming configuration or a complete India-specific monthly bill. Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are also candidates to price, but the available published figures do not establish a comparable total for this workload.
If you want an always-on YouTube stream without managing a server, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. For a self-managed setup, compare providers only after defining the workload and counting continuous data transfer.
What counts as an affordable AWS alternative?
For a continuous stream, compare the cost of running the actual encoder around the clock, not a provider’s smallest advertised VM in isolation. The bill can include compute runtime, outbound data transfer, storage, backups or snapshots, networking charges, taxes, and currency conversion. The available provider material does not establish an equivalent India-region monthly total for this use case, so there is no supported basis here for naming one provider the cheapest.
The right configuration also depends on what you are streaming: a live camera or game feed, a pre-recorded loop, a generated scene, or another format may put different demands on CPU, GPU, and encoder software. Establish that workload before selecting a machine.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Cloud options to investigate
These are candidates to price, not a performance ranking. The published entry price below is useful context, but it is not evidence that a specific machine can encode your stream or what your complete bill will be.
| Option | What the available pricing information establishes | What you still need to verify |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; first day free with no card. | It plays uploaded videos and playlists, not a live camera feed. Review the plan and storage details for your use. |
| DigitalOcean Droplets | DigitalOcean’s February 2026 AWS-alternatives article lists a starting configuration at $4/month: 1 vCPU, 512 MiB memory, and 10 GiB SSD. | Whether that or another Droplet can encode your chosen stream, plus transfer, storage, backups, taxes, region, and other charges in the complete 24/7 cost. |
| Google Cloud | Google publishes a VM instance pricing page; no like-for-like configured total for this workload is established here. | Instance size and region, continuous runtime, outbound transfer, storage, backups, taxes, and any network charges. |
| Oracle Cloud Infrastructure | Oracle publishes a cloud price list for India; no like-for-like configured total for this workload is established here. | Suitable instance and availability, continuous runtime, outbound transfer, storage, backups, taxes, and any network charges. |
| Hetzner | Hetzner has a cloud-hosting service page, but the reviewed material does not establish an India region or a relevant plan cost. | Region availability, a suitable plan, full 24/7 cost, and the stream’s route to YouTube ingest. |
Pricing and availability change. Confirm current terms directly with the provider before committing; a starting VM price should not be presented as a streaming quote.

How to compare the real 24/7 cost
- Define the stream. Record whether it is a live feed, an uploaded-video loop, or another workflow; list the number of simultaneous streams and the intended resolution, frame rate, codec, and encoder.
- Estimate continuous transfer. Use the sustained video bitrate, stream hours, and number of streams to estimate outbound data. At a constant bitrate of 1 Mbps, a stream sends about 10.8 GB in 24 hours using decimal units; actual billing can differ because of protocol overhead and provider accounting. Check each provider’s current transfer allowance and overage rates.
- Choose a region and instance that fit. Verify the available region, network route to YouTube ingest, CPU or GPU capability, and encoder support. Do not infer encoding capacity from a vCPU count alone.
- Add every recurring and one-time charge. Include compute for every hour in the billing period, outbound transfer, storage, backups or snapshots, IP and networking features, tax, and currency conversion. Check whether a quoted rate assumes a particular billing commitment.
- Test the exact configuration. Run a sustained test with the intended content and settings, check YouTube stream health, and confirm how the process restarts after an encoder or connection failure. Account for monitoring and recovery work in the operating cost.
Set the encoder for YouTube before sizing the server
YouTube recommends RTMPS and says to choose a quality that can be sustained reliably by the connection. Its encoder guidance recommends testing before starting and monitoring stream health. These are YouTube ingestion recommendations, not guarantees that a cloud instance or network path can sustain the stream.
| H.264 video mode | YouTube-listed minimum bitrate | YouTube-listed recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
Use the bitrate for the actual codec, resolution, and frame rate you choose; the figures above cover only the two H.264 modes shown. A stream that looks acceptable in a short test may still fail over a full day, so monitor the real stream rather than treating a successful start as proof of reliability.

Check YouTube policy as well as technical delivery
YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams. Monetized content should be original and authentic; mass-produced, generic, repetitive, or manipulative content may fail policy review. That does not make every always-on stream automatically ineligible. Review the nature and originality of your own content—the hosting provider does not determine monetization eligibility.

For uploaded recordings or playlists, StreamNeo avoids the need to configure and operate an encoder server. The three steps are: upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It streams to YouTube only; it does not start a camera feed.
