There is no verified AION 2 “Diamond” farming route to rank against other methods. Current community currency guides do not establish Diamond as a currency, and references to gem materials do not identify the item meant by the title. Before choosing a farm, open your regional client and confirm the exact item name, icon, tooltip, and whether it is a currency, a crafting material, or a tradable drop.
If “diamond” is being used to mean Kina or Kinah (the spelling varies in community guides), the practical alternatives are dungeons, quests or duties, open-world and Abyss activity, and market or crafting work. They pay different reward types, have different limits, and cannot be ranked universally without a current region-and-patch test.

What the title’s “Diamond” must mean before you start farming
AION 2’s current community references describe Kina/Kinah and Abyss Points as separate currencies. They do not confirm a currency called Diamond. AION 2 WikiRealm’s currency reference, updated October 7, 2026, does not settle Diamond’s identity, while MetaBot.GG’s October 6, 2026 guide mentions gem materials without proving that a gem named Diamond is the resource in question. Treating a gem mention as proof would send you to the wrong activity.

- Open the inventory and search the exact word “Diamond,” including the item’s alternate-language name if your client uses one.
- Read the tooltip. Record whether it says currency, material, consumable, quest item, or equipment component.
- Check the item’s binding status and whether a Market or trade option appears.
- Open the currency panel and compare the icon and label with your inventory result. A material sitting in a bag is not automatically a currency.
- Note your region, game version, level, and any account or membership restrictions shown in the tooltip or activity window.
Until those checks identify a real item, do not use a “Diamond farming” route from a third-party page as a confirmed instruction. The safe conclusion is that Diamond is unresolved. The methods below are for the documented currency categories and for tradable materials that can be converted into currency only where your client permits it.
Kina/Kinah and Abyss Points are not interchangeable
Kina or Kinah: the spendable economy currency
Community guides use both “Kina” and “Kinah.” AION 2 Cyou’s currency guide describes it as a core game currency earned through gameplay and trade-related activity. Aion 2 Database’s guide, dated October 2, 2026, and AION 2 Wiki’s guide, updated September 19, 2026, further distinguish bound and unbound forms. Verify the spelling and exact wallet labels in your regional client rather than assuming one spelling applies everywhere.
Kina/Kinah is the category to compare when your goal is ordinary purchases, upgrades, fees, or market activity. A bound balance may be spendable only by the character or account that earned it, while an unbound balance or item can have different trading rules. The community guides report this distinction, but they do not establish one universal rule for every region, patch, or item. Check the binding icon and the transaction screen before planning around transferability.
Abyss Points: progression tied to Abyss activity
Abyss Points are described separately from Kina/Kinah and are associated with Abyss activity and dedicated progression or exchange uses. They should be treated as a distinct progression currency, not as an alternative name for gold. An activity that produces many Abyss Points may produce little ordinary currency, and an activity that pays Kina/Kinah may not advance your Abyss standing.
When comparing a route, write down the reward type exactly: ordinary currency, Abyss Points, a bound item, an unbound item, or a tradable material. Combining those categories into one “gold per hour” number produces a misleading result.
How the main farming routes compare
The table uses only mechanics reported by current community guides. No authoritative, date-and-region-qualified yield dataset was established, so cells that depend on the client remain “not stated.”
Rank #2
| Route | Primary reward category | Character and access factors | Limits and time factors | Trading and value factors | What is not established |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dungeons | Recurring reward systems; may include Kina/Kinah, items, or other currencies | Level, party, entry requirements, and difficulty are client-specific | Daily or weekly caps and run time are not stated consistently | Bound versus unbound rewards determine whether market conversion is possible | No universal currency-per-run or currency-per-hour rate |
| Quests and duties | Mission or duty rewards, including possible currency payments | Progression, unlocks, and duty availability vary by region and version | Repeatability and reset schedules are not stated as a single global rule | Usually a direct reward; item tradability depends on the reward | No fixed payout schedule that applies to every client |
| Open-world activity | Currency, drops, and materials from ordinary world content | Level range, spawn access, competition, and survivability matter | Travel, respawns, and contested objectives change the effective rate | Raw currency is immediate; drops require a permitted market sale | No reliable universal drop or hourly-income figure |
| Abyss activity | Abyss Points plus possible currency or tradable drops | Abyss access, combat readiness, and local rules apply | Activity availability, risk, and caps vary by version | Abyss Points are not ordinary gold; drops may be bound or tradable | No like-for-like conversion rate between Abyss Points and Kina/Kinah |
| Market sales | Unbound currency received for selling eligible items | Market access, listing rules, demand, and competition are region-specific | Listing duration, sale speed, and price swings affect realized income | Gross sale price is not profit; fees and tax must be deducted | No stable price or guaranteed sale rate |
| Gathering and crafting | Materials or finished goods that may be sold where permitted | Profession unlocks, recipes, resource access, and capital are required | Gathering routes, crafting time, and inventory space affect throughput | Net value depends on input costs, listing fees, and tax | No universal recipe margin or material price |
Dungeon farming: the repeatable baseline
Dungeons are the clearest starting point when you want a repeatable activity rather than a speculative market position. Community guides identify dungeon reward systems as a recurring income path. That does not mean every dungeon pays the same currency or that every run can be repeated without a cap.
Check access before comparing runs
- Confirm the level, quest, party, and difficulty requirements in the current activity window.
- Read the reward preview and identify which rewards are bound, unbound, or a separate currency.
- Record the entry reset and any daily or weekly limit displayed by the client.
- Measure a complete cycle, including queueing, travel, grouping, and inventory management, rather than timing only the boss encounter.
A short run with a low cap can be better for a specific schedule than a longer run with a higher theoretical reward, but the available guides do not provide enough verified figures to declare one dungeon the best. Use your own client’s reward panel and reset timer as the controlling information.
Quests and duties: reliable progression income
Aion2 Guide, updated October 4, 2026, and AION 2 Help, updated September 24, 2026, list missions or duties among the ways players earn currency. These activities are useful when you are still unlocking systems because they combine progression with a stated reward. Their value changes once one-time objectives are exhausted.
Separate first-clear rewards from repeatable income
For each mission, mark whether the reward is a first-clear payment, a repeatable duty reward, or an event-dependent bonus. A first-clear payment should not be used as an hourly farming estimate. Also note whether the reward is bound and whether the activity consumes an entry token or another resource.
If you are leveling a new character, complete duties that unlock needed systems before abandoning them for a pure currency route. The opportunity cost is lower when the same activity advances progression, but the guides do not establish a fixed payout that applies to all regions.

Open-world activity
Open-world content can combine direct currency with equipment, materials, and other drops. Its effective value depends on how quickly you can defeat targets, how often resources respawn, and whether other players contest the area. A raw currency pickup is immediately useful; a material has value only if you can use it or sell it under the current Market rules.

Track travel time and unsold inventory. A route that appears profitable while ignoring movement, repairs, consumables, and unsold drops is measuring gross output rather than net income.
Abyss activity
Abyss content belongs in a separate column because its principal progression reward is Abyss Points. If your objective is an Abyss unlock or rank, compare the route by Points per completed activity and by the associated risk. If your objective is ordinary Kina/Kinah, count only the currency and the saleable drops that your character can actually convert.
Do not assign a made-up exchange rate between Abyss Points and Kina/Kinah. None of the cited guides establishes a universal conversion, and the currencies serve different purposes.

Market-based farming is the route most likely to be misread. AION 2 Wiki’s September 19 guide and Aion 2 Database’s October 2 guide describe market activity and unbound rewards; Aion2 Guide also notes region-specific market and membership conditions. These are community observations, not guarantees of a particular local price or access rule.
Use a net-profit calculation
For one sale, calculate:
Net proceeds = sale price − material cost − crafting or processing cost − listing fee − transaction tax − consumables and other directly attributable costs.
If you gathered the material yourself, still record its opportunity cost: what you could have earned by selling it unprocessed or using the same time on another activity. A recipe is profitable only when its finished sale beats those alternatives after all charges.
Rank #4
Check liquidity, not just the displayed price
- Verify that the item is unbound and eligible for the Market.
- Check recent completed sales or the closest available evidence, not only the highest listing.
- Account for undercutting, listing duration, and the chance that the item remains unsold.
- Confirm regional tax, membership, and access rules in the Market window.
- Keep enough working capital for materials and fees; a sale price is not cash until the transaction completes.
Prices and demand can change by region, patch, event, and player population. Recheck the calculation whenever a patch changes a recipe, drop table, fee, or Market rule.

Bound and unbound rewards change the answer
Two activities with the same displayed reward are not equivalent if one pays a bound currency or bound item and the other pays something transferable. Community guides repeatedly flag bound and unbound distinctions as important to spending and trading. Before selecting a route, inspect the binding icon on both the reward and the resulting balance.
| Question | Why it matters | What to verify in-game |
|---|---|---|
| Is the currency or item bound? | Bound rewards may not be sellable or transferable. | Tooltip, wallet category, and trade or Market button |
| Which character receives it? | Some balances may be character-specific rather than account-wide. | Wallet screen and transfer behavior on an alternate character |
| Can it be converted? | A material’s value depends on a permitted sale or exchange. | Exchange NPC, crafting recipe, and Market eligibility |
| Does it expire or reset? | Duty entries, event rewards, and listings can have schedules. | Activity timer, event panel, and listing duration |
A practical decision framework for your goal
Choose the route by the resource you actually need, not by a generic claim that one activity is “best.”
- Need ordinary spending currency now: start with the repeatable dungeon, duty, or open-world activity whose reward panel explicitly shows Kina/Kinah. Record the binding status and cap.
- Need Abyss progression: prioritize the Abyss activity that advances the required Point category. Count ordinary currency only as a secondary benefit.
- Need a tradable item or crafting input: compare the drop route with the Market’s realized prices and subtract every cost before committing.
- Need a new-character start: combine progression duties with a repeatable income activity until your access, inventory, and crafting requirements are unlocked.
- Need to test a suspected Diamond item: identify its tooltip and source first. Do not spend stamina, entry tokens, or capital on an unverified route.
How to run your own region-and-patch comparison
A universal ranking is not supported by the available guides, but you can make a local comparison with consistent measurements.
- Write down the client region, patch number, character level, gear state, account restrictions, and membership status.
- Select two or more activities that pay the same target category, such as unbound Kina/Kinah.
- Run each activity for the same number of complete cycles or the same fixed time, including queue, travel, selling, and downtime.
- Log direct currency, Abyss Points, bound rewards, unbound rewards, materials, consumables, repairs, entry costs, and unsold items separately.
- Value only completed sales at the actual net amount received. Do not treat a listing price as income.
- Apply the activity’s daily or weekly cap. A route that looks strong for two runs may not fill a full week.
- Repeat after a patch, major event, fee change, or noticeable Market shift.
Use separate columns for direct currency and saleable inventory. This prevents a large but illiquid drop from making a low-cash route look better than it is.
Common mistakes and fixes
Assuming Diamond is a confirmed currency
Symptom: a guide promises a Diamond route but your wallet has no matching category. Fix: compare the guide’s item icon and tooltip with your client. It may be a gem material, a mistranslation, or a different item entirely.

Using one region’s market price everywhere
Symptom: the sale value in a guide is unavailable in your Market. Fix: treat the figure as a dated regional observation and recalculate with your own completed-sale value, fees, and tax.
Counting bound rewards as tradable income
Symptom: a reward appears valuable but cannot be listed or transferred. Fix: classify bound and unbound results before comparing routes.
Quoting a gross crafting margin
Symptom: the finished item sells for more than the recipe inputs, yet your balance falls. Fix: include gathering opportunity cost, processing costs, listing fees, transaction tax, consumables, and unsold inventory.
Ignoring caps and setup time
Symptom: a route performs well in a short test but cannot be repeated. Fix: include entry limits, reset schedules, queue time, travel, and inventory work in the measurement.
What can be concluded today
The documented comparison is between Kina/Kinah routes and Abyss Point progression, not between a confirmed Diamond currency and gold. Dungeons, quests or duties, open-world activity, Abyss content, and market or crafting work are all identified by community guides as possible income channels, but their rewards, caps, binding rules, and market value vary by region and patch.
Until an authoritative current client reference identifies Diamond and its source, the responsible answer is not a universal ranking. Confirm the item first; then compare routes using the same target currency, complete-cycle time, binding status, limits, and net proceeds after every cost.
