In Verteron, start at Ellun River Midstream and search the upper ravine to its west, past Pamos Farm. In Altgard, sweep the area between Silent Hill and Tranein Pond, including Fang Hideout and Temporary Retreat. These are recommended search areas, not guaranteed cube locations: Hidden Cubes can spawn at different candidate positions, so check nearby terrain and water rather than expecting a marker to hold a cube every time.

Verteron: Ellun River Midstream and the western ravine

Franklin Bellone Borges’s Destructoid guide for the Global version, published October 6, 2026, recommends searching around Ellun River Midstream, then moving into the upper ravine west of it, past Pamos Farm. Look below the surface as well as along the banks: many possible spots in this area are underwater.

Altgard: between Silent Hill and Tranein Pond

The same guide points players to the area between Silent Hill and Tranein Pond. Search through the Fang Hideout and Temporary Retreat hunting-ground areas, where possible spawns can be easy to miss.

Why a map marker may not have a cube

A marker is a possible spawn position, not a report that a cube is currently there. Corpus’s third-party map data groups candidate positions and reports 95 spawn groups and 1,440 candidate spots in Verteron, plus 59 groups and 1,371 spots in Altgard. Those are Corpus map-data figures, not official published statistics. A cube found at one position may appear elsewhere on a later search.

Plan a sweep of a cluster of nearby candidates rather than making a single stop. Check water as well as land, and use the cube’s audio cue to narrow your search. Corpus’s map tool offers ground-versus-water filters, place-name search, numbered candidate positions by group, and an option to narrow possible positions from a point where a cube was heard. Corpus estimates the sound-based search range at about 130 m; height, walls, and audio settings can affect what you hear. The map cannot tell you which candidate has an active cube now.

How to get Hidden Cube keys

The October 6, 2026 Destructoid Global guide lists these routes. Treat shop prices, limits, and reward tables as a dated snapshot and check the live client before spending currency.

  1. Progress through quests: Main Story Episodes, Regional Quests, and Daily Quests can award keys.
  2. Claim progression rewards: Check achievements and Daeva Pass level rewards.
  3. Collect attendance rewards: Daily Attendance is another listed source.
  4. Upgrade monoliths: The guide says Verteron and Altgard monolith upgrades at levels one through six give one key each; levels seven and eight give two keys each among other rewards.
  5. Check shops: The guide lists Tsenka Merchants at 50 Quna per key, with a maximum of three per day, and an A2 Mileage shop option at 2,000 Mileage per key. Availability and terms may change.

Other third-party listings do not match every route exactly. Corpus also lists Duty Missions and Duty Scrolls, along with monolith levels, achievements, attendance and passes, and shops. Confirm a source in your own client before relying on it.

Opening a cube, competition, and respawns

MetaBot.GG’s analysis of Global client data describes one interaction per cube, a four-second opening channel, and the cube despawning after it is opened. It does not establish a respawn timer, and the next appearance need not use the same candidate position. If another player reaches a cube first, continue searching nearby candidates rather than waiting on an assumed timer.

Global zone access and key-rule caveats

Third-party sources differ on which maps are available in Global and whether every cube requires a key. MetaBot.GG’s October 6, 2026 client-data guide describes four field maps—Verteron, Altgard, Eltnen, and Morheim—with 206 cubes and 3,722 candidate spots in total. It says every Verteron and Altgard cube is key-only, while some Eltnen and Morheim versions can be opened without a key.

That account conflicts with other descriptions: Corpus’s opened map page gives Verteron and Altgard counts, while Aion 2 Hub search-result text described Eltnen and Morheim as Korea/Taiwan maps and said they were not in the Global client as of September 19, 2026. Aion 2 Maps, updated September 28, says all Global cubes are key-only. These are third-party accounts, not official confirmation, and may reflect different client states or regions. Check your live client before travelling to Eltnen or Morheim or assuming a cube can be opened without a key.
