Tomb Raider I-III Remastered received Challenge Mode Patch 4 on October 6, 2026. Aspyr lists the bug-fix update for PS4 and PS5 as well as Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android; the release is not PlayStation-exclusive.
What Patch 4 fixes
Aspyr describes Patch 4 as a bug-fix update. Its notes cover progression blockers, movement, visuals, instructions and translations, with additional fixes specific to mobile and Nintendo Switch 2. These are representative examples, not a complete list; see Aspyr’s Patch 4 notes for the full platform-by-platform breakdown.
- Progression and collectibles: fixes include access to Lud’s Gate’s sixth secret and a crystal pickup issue in Diving Area that could block the “Crystals Are Forever” achievement.
- Movement and level progression: Aspyr lists fixes for an edge-of-ramp movement blocker, Aldwych map rendering and progression, and movement blockers near an airplane and a tree.
- Visuals and guidance: the notes include turret animation and visual-effects fixes, plus missing instructions in Lara’s Home.
- Localization: Polish text and other missing translations are among the listed issues.
Because Aspyr separates fixes by platform, a fix listed for one version should not be assumed to apply to every version. The notes do not establish PS4 or PS5 storefront package numbers or region-by-region rollout timing.
Patch 4 follows earlier Challenge Mode updates
Patch 4 is distinct from the feature update that introduced Challenge Mode. That free update arrived on March 12, 2026, adding outfits, 15 trophies and difficulty modifiers for levels players had already completed. Aspyr Brand Manager Sydney Mantrom called it “a free patch for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.” Aspyr also promoted the mode as offering “40+ hours of replayability”; that is the publisher’s description, not an independently measured play-time figure. Aspyr’s PlayStation Blog post includes outfit challenge guidance.
