The team’s post said, “Thank you for helping us reach 400,000 active users!” That active-user milestone is not interchangeable with a concurrent-player measurement. SteamDB’s tracked peak of 397,905 is also a distinct figure; the tracker’s count and the company’s rounded milestone should be read with their respective definitions and attribution.

Which Steam charts did AION 2 lead?
At the time of NC America’s release, Inven Global reported that AION 2 was No. 1 on three Steam charts:
- Top Sellers, which ranks games by revenue, according to Inven Global.
- Popular New Releases.
- Trending Free.
These were reported positions at a particular moment in the launch period. Steam’s later chart snapshot showed AION 2 at No. 4 among Top Selling Games and No. 3 among Most Played, with 368,966 listed in the No. 3 Most Played slot at the time it was accessed. The captured view did not show positions for Popular New Releases or Trending Free. Steam’s charts are live and can change; a later ranking does not erase the earlier milestone, and the earlier No. 1 positions should not be presented as current.

What is AION 2, and where can you play it?
AION 2 is a free-to-play open-world MMORPG available on Steam and NC’s PURPLE platform, according to Inven Global. Its reported 400,000-plus concurrent figure refers specifically to Steam. The report describes flight, underwater exploration, and aerial PvE and PvP combat as central features. NC America also claims the game world is 36 times larger than the original AION; that is the company’s comparison, not an independently measured map-size result.
How did the launch campaign support the player surge?
Inven Global reported that NC America’s “War For Atreia” campaign involved 60 streamers across North America, Europe and South America. Viewers could earn in-game rewards through Twitch Drops. The campaign is useful context for the launch, but it does not establish what share of players came from streaming promotions.
