For the global PC version, AION 2’s official minimum is a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500, 8 GB RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB of VRAM. The recommended tier is a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, 16 GB RAM, and an RTX 2070 with 8 GB. Both tiers require Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 100 GB of available storage; NCSoft recommends an SSD. These are compatibility specifications, not a promise of any particular frame rate.

The global FAQ does not list an AMD graphics-card equivalent. The AMD options published on NCSoft’s Taiwan requirements page are regional specifications, not additions to the global table.
What the requirements do—and do not—tell you
The minimum tier is the published baseline to compare against; the recommended tier is a higher official reference point. Neither table establishes how many frames per second a specific PC will deliver. NCSoft’s global FAQ gives FHD preset guidance—Very Low at minimum and Low at recommended—but no FPS guarantee or performance result. A PC between the two tiers cannot be assigned a reliable outcome from these specifications alone.

The Steam listing identifies AION 2 as a PC-only game built on Unreal Engine 5 and gives October 5, 2026 as its release date. Requirements and installation details can vary by region, so check the page for the version and client you intend to use.
Check your PC before buying parts
- Compare the core specifications. Find your Windows edition and 64-bit status, processor model, installed RAM, and graphics-card model and memory. Compare each with the global minimum above. A part below a listed minimum is below the published baseline; the official pages do not quantify whether or how well lower hardware might run the game.
- Check free space and the game drive. Make 100 GB available. NCSoft recommends an SSD, but does not state a required SSD type, read/write speed, or motherboard interface.
- Decide what you are trying to achieve. Meeting the minimum is different from aiming for a particular resolution, preset, or frame rate. The published requirements do not establish tested performance for those targets.
- Check compatibility before purchasing. For a drive, verify capacity, form factor, and interface against your PC. For RAM or a graphics card, check the system’s supported memory, physical clearance, power supply, and connections. Requirements alone do not reveal which component is limiting a particular computer.
What should you upgrade for AION 2?
Use the gap between your PC and the two official tiers to identify what to investigate, not as an automatic shopping list. The global specifications move from 8 GB to 16 GB RAM and from a GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB to an RTX 2070 with 8 GB; they also list higher processor tiers. They do not prove that every player needs all three upgrades.

- Below the minimum on one component: Treat that component as a mismatch with the published baseline and verify the exact model and system compatibility before choosing a replacement.
- At or above minimum, but below recommended: The official recommended tier is a comparison point, not a guarantee of a particular experience. Select an upgrade only after setting a specific target and checking reliable performance evidence for that hardware and target.
- Already at or above the recommended tier: The requirements do not establish that further upgrades are necessary. Check free space, the SSD recommendation, and your intended settings before spending on hardware.
Current component prices, availability, and controlled AION 2 performance comparisons are not provided by NCSoft’s requirements pages. Compare those separately when deciding whether an upgrade is worthwhile.

The global PC requirement is 100 GB of available space, and NCSoft recommends an SSD. Make the full stated amount available rather than treating a regional installation note as the complete requirement. NCSoft’s Taiwan page separately says the initial installation needs approximately 70 GB or more; that initial-install figure and the 100 GB PC requirement refer to different statements.

The Taiwan download page describes installation through the PURPLE PC client. Its client and regional instructions may not apply to the global release. Neither page specifies an SSD speed threshold or whether SATA or NVMe is required, so confirm your computer’s drive compatibility rather than assuming a particular model or interface.
Regional AMD specifications
NCSoft’s Taiwan PC requirements page lists AMD graphics alternatives that are absent from the global FAQ. Keep these tied to that regional page rather than treating them as globally confirmed equivalents:
