To start The One Who Hears the Voice in Aion 2, check that your Ascension Gauge is full and that you have progressed to the story quest Daeva in a Dream. Then open Journal (J), choose the Ascension tab, select the quest and use Teleport to reach Dream Crossroad. Asahr waits beside a large mirror.
What you need before starting
Two walkthroughs say the practical gates are a 100% Ascension Gauge and progression to Daeva in a Dream. Quest database records list level 10 as the unlock level and level 22 as the recommended level; those fields describe different things. Meeting the listed unlock level alone may not make the quest available if the story or gauge gate has not been met. Requirements may also vary by faction, progression, or client version. AION 2 Wiki’s quest record lists the level fields; walkthroughs report the additional progression gates.
How to complete The One Who Hears the Voice
- Teleport to Dream Crossroad. Open Journal (J), select the Ascension tab, choose The One Who Hears the Voice, and use Teleport. The walkthroughs describe Dream Crossroad as the destination, with Asahr beside a large mirror. They do not describe an ordinary world-map route as the way to get there.
- Speak to Asahr. This begins the trial. Quest records identify speaking to Asahr as the first stage. MetaBot.GG’s quest database attributes the line “It is time. Come to the Dream Crossroad.” to Asahr’s dialogue in global client build 0.0.4387.0; it is in-game dialogue, not a statement from a developer.
- Enter Dream Remnants and retrieve the fragment. The next recorded objective is to obtain the Dream of Willpower Fragment. One walkthrough reports two groups of Dream Guardian and Dream Watcher enemies, followed by Dream Guardian Knight and Dream Knight, then the level 23 elite Dream Guardian Eonos. After those fights, interact with the glowing fragment. The quest records confirm the area and fragment objective, but the enemy lineup and encounter order come from the walkthrough, not independent client-data confirmation.
- Continue into the dream sequence. Quest records list “See AION’s Dream” and entering Dream of Torment as the third stage. A walkthrough says to activate the Dream Artifact, watch the Siel memory sequence, then speak to Asahr again.
Client-data records summarize the quest in three broad stages: speak to Asahr, enter Dream Remnants, and enter Dream of Torment. MetaBot.GG and AION 2 Wiki provide quest-record details; the combat sequence above is walkthrough-specific.
Rewards and faction differences
Reward reports do not fully agree. Gaming Ally says completion unlocks Pantheon and awards one Stigma Shard and Intermediate Daeva Wings, while the retrieved quest database records list a single Ascension quest item and do not corroborate those additional rewards. Check the reward panel in your current journal or client rather than assuming every character receives the same items. Separate Elyos and Asmodian records exist, and quest details may differ by faction or version. Gaming Ally’s walkthrough makes the broader reward claim; AION 2 Wiki and MetaBot.GG provide database records.
