An AI-generated Instagram comedy persona called Tiffany Sloane has drawn millions of views with clips that comedians say reuse material from their sets. The reports describe allegations and similarities—not a legal finding, verified earnings, or confirmation of who operates the account.

Who is Tiffany Sloane?

The persona appears on Instagram as @tiffany.bbyx. Gizmodo and the account’s post attribution spell the name “Tiffany Sloane”; Kotaku uses “Tiffany Sloan.” This article uses the account’s spelling. The reporting did not identify the account operator or establish which tools or workflow were used to make the clips.

The account’s reported totals differ by publication and date. Kotaku said it had more than 375,000 followers and 75 videos after it began posting on September 11, 2026. Gizmodo reported about 375,000 followers and 124 posts as of October 5. Those counts should be read as separate snapshots, not combined into one tally.

What did George Brett Olson say was copied?

On October 3, comedian George Brett Olson posted a comparison between his stand-up set and a clip featuring the AI persona. Olson wrote, “AI stole my joke and outfit.” Reports described similarities in the joke material and punchline, as well as the performance’s gesture and clothing. That is Olson’s allegation and the reporters’ account of the comparison; the reports do not establish a legal finding or independently authenticate the videos.

Aquamarine The Ryuo's Work is Never Done: Ai Hinatsuru (Game Start Version) 1:7 Scale PVC Figure
  • An Aquamarine import
  • From the hit anime series
  • Based on the main key visual from the anime
  • Captures all of her details
  • Be sure to add the small girl with huge potential to your collection

Kotaku reported that one stand-up-style clip had more than 7 million views in just under two weeks. The figure is attributed to Kotaku’s October 5 report, and it refers to that clip—not verified income or proof that viewers knew the material was disputed.

Have other comedians reported similar cases?

Gizmodo reported two other complaints involving jokes attributed to comedians:

Rank #2
Orange Rouge Fate/Grand Order: Caster/Merlin (Magus of Flowers Version) Nendoroid Action Figure
  • An Orange Rouge import
  • From the popular smartphone game
  • Includes three face plates for multiple expressions
  • Optional staff and sword parts
  • Additional parts include hero creation technique, flower parts, and Excalibur the sword of promised victory
  • Olivia Carter said AI-generated copies of her personal-trainer joke were sent to her.
  • Sarah Purdum’s Daniel Day-Lewis joke was also matched to a bot account, according to the report.

These reports add to the concerns about attribution, but they do not establish who made the accounts or how the joke material was obtained.

Is the account earning money from the clips?

Gizmodo reported that the Instagram account linked to a subscription page and described the setup as marketing for a paid creator service. Justine Moore, a partner on Andreessen Horowitz’s consumer AI team, characterized it as “a genius OnlyFans marketing hack.” That was Moore’s description of the apparent marketing approach, not evidence of the account’s earnings.

Freeing Table Museum Series: David by Michelangelo Figma Action Figure
  • A FREEing import
  • Sculpted by Michelangelo, David is one of the best examples of Renaissance art
  • Numerous points of articulation
  • Smooth yet pose able joints
  • Articulated figma stand

The reports do not verify how much money, if any, the account made. Follower totals and video views are audience measures, not revenue figures.

What did comedians say about reporting the content?

Olson said, “What’s crazy to me is you can’t report this. A bunch of people tried,” describing attempts by people to report the account. This is his account of those efforts; the reporting does not establish how Instagram reviewed or adjudicated any complaint.

Tomytec Little Armory: ENA Toyosaki Figma Action Figure
  • A Tomytec import
  • Makes use of drawer joints in her shoulders allowing her to easily wield weapons
  • Includes plastic model runner kit for a 1/12th scale Japanese how a type 89 "folding stock"
  • 9 mm pistol weapon
  • Standard and battle expressions

Carter also connected the issue to expectations around appearance and social media. Gizmodo quoted her saying, “I think Instagram has made a pressure where, like, comedians are now influencers and influencers look a certain way,” and warning that audiences could come to expect comics to resemble “AI-generated women’s bodies.” Her comments address the broader pressure on performers, not a platform finding about this account.

What is still unknown?

  • Who runs the account: The reporting did not identify its operator.
  • How the clips were made: The exact generative tools, workflow, and role of any human operator were not established. Calling the persona AI-generated does not prove that an AI system independently wrote the jokes.
  • Whether the account earned money: A linked subscription page was reported, but no verified earnings were provided.
  • Whether rules or laws were violated: The reports describe allegations and comparisons, not an official platform decision or legal outcome.
