There are 55 Feathers of Light to find in Destiny 2’s Pale Heart, according to a June 2024 full-collection guide. The first 49 are spread across eight regions; the remaining six are associated with the Dual Destiny Exotic mission. Use the landmark route below for the regional pickups, then check the Flock Together triumph in-game to see which ones you still need.
How the 55-feather route is organized
The written route below covers 49 pickups across the eight named Pale Heart regions. It follows the landmarks in Pro Game Guides’ June 11, 2024 guide. Its directions are descriptive rather than coordinate-based, so use the guide’s regional maps or the game’s surroundings to orient yourself.

The guide documented 49 as the number available at that time, not the full collection. A June 12, 2024 video guide by Esoterickk describes all 55 and associates the final six with Dual Destiny. Its description does not give text directions for those six, so they are not mapped out below.
The Lost City: 5 feathers
- From the starting point, go right across the rooftops to a red-and-white building with large branches. Check the branch at roof level.
- Near the monument, find the building with a fern and an air conditioner. Look on top of the air conditioner.
- At the outskirts, follow the map edge to cliffs with trees and search along the canopy.
- Follow the beach path and inspect the large tree root.
- Near the beach cliffs, look among the rocky platforms by the large tree.
The Landing: 8 feathers
- Near the fast-travel point, check the lower roof of the blue building above the creepers.
- South of that roof, inspect the rocks to the left of the waterfall.
- In the central cave, find the hole and check its corner.
- In a cave in the southern Landing, climb to the elevated spot.
- North of that cave, find the bridge and check the tree root below it. Watch for the chasm.
- Northeast of the bridge, search the large branches.
- At the small bridge with blue patterns, go to the ocean-view lookout and look down among the branches.
- Northwest by the ocean, find the balcony and check inside the room.
The Refraction: 5 feathers
- In the cave, climb to the blue crystals hanging from the ceiling and check the top of a crystal.
- In the center, inspect the rocks with purple flowers.
- From there, climb a tree and search its canopy.
- South of that area, look up into a tree.
- Continue south to the rocky area and inspect the tops of the rocks.
The Blooming: 8 feathers
- Near the fast-travel point, look up toward the rocks.
- Near the center, check the less accessible tree branches.
- Pass through the rocky corridors and inspect the top of the gate-like opening.
- In the desolate area, use nearby rocks as steps to reach the tallest of the three moss-covered pillars.
- Find the dead tree among the rocks, climb it, and continue to the higher platforms.
- In the center, check the withered tree beside the rocks.
- In the southern mossy area, find the door-shaped passage under the rock. With it behind you, inspect the rocks ahead.
- At the northern cliff, look up.
The Seclusion: 5 feathers
- Near the area entrance, inspect the old tree trunk.
- North of there, check the rocks near the trees.
- Head south to the discolored water and inspect the rock rising above it.
- Follow the water east to a cave entrance.
- Enter the cave, keep left, and climb to higher ground.
The Divide: 5 feathers
- Climb the steep icy hill and check the top.
- At the stair-like platforms, climb to the top, enter the corridor on the right, and inspect the platform on its right side.
- From the corridor, continue straight along the road and check the structure to the right.
- Enter the ice-covered building and follow the path to the Shrieker on the bridge. From the midpoint of the bridge, turn right, go to the end of the corridor, and jump left onto the pipes. Look up for a platform.
- Go through the ice cave. After emerging, turn left and cross the windy waterfall. Near the enemies around a pillar, check the platform below them.
The Impasse: 8 feathers
- In the central freeway area, inspect the lamppost above the abandoned cars.
- Beneath the freeway, check the top of the hand sculpture.
- Continue south to the concrete wall and inspect the sharp rocks to its right.
- Near the building with rusted windows, jump across the stones to the end of the road. Check the platform above the sphere if it is present.
- Near the rusted-window building, inspect the large rocks.
- With that building behind you, go straight to the hollow tree shaped like a skull and check its top.
- Near the white fortress with giant faces, inspect the top of the large pillar.
- From the pillar, with the white building behind you, look left for the temple with the giant hand sculpture. Check beside the hand.
The Transgression: 5 feathers
- Go through the temple corridor from the Impasse feather area toward the old tree and cliff. Look down onto the rock.
- Turn right and inspect the top of the floating rocks.
- Continue east. After leaving the corridor, turn right and check a branch.
- From the branch, look left toward the large hand sculpture.
- Continue east into the building and follow the path to the hall with hands emerging from the ceiling. Inspect the top of the pillar.
Where to find the final six
Esoterickk’s June 12, 2024 guide description says the final six became accessible with the Dual Destiny Exotic mission and presents a route for the complete set. It does not include written step-by-step directions for those pickups. Follow a current visual walkthrough or locate them in-game rather than assuming they are part of the eight regional routes above.

Does the campaign or Pale Heart rank unlock all the feathers?
Bungie’s official Pale Heart guide says Pale Heart Ranks unlock after completing The Final Shape campaign. That is destination progression context; it does not establish that campaign completion or a particular rank is a prerequisite for every feather. Bungie’s The Final Shape overview describes the destination as content that continues to unfold after the campaign, but does not enumerate feather locations.

Use the Flock Together triumph tracker to confirm which pickups count toward your collection as you search. The written regional directions rely on visual landmarks and vertical traversal—rooftops, branches, caves, crystals, cliffs, structures, and platforms—rather than exact map coordinates.
