There are six Ripper Drill Sites in Borderlands 4, split evenly across The Fadefields, Carcadia Burn, and Terminus Range. Each is a combat activity: clear its enemy waves, then defeat the boss encounter to complete the site. Here is the full location and boss checklist.

How to complete a Ripper Drill Site
- Reach the site and start the activity.
- Defeat the enemy waves that appear.
- Defeat the final boss encounter to finish the site.
These are optional activities, not required replacements for one another: a full checklist means clearing all six. The guides report that they are not missable and remain available in free roam after the main story, although access to some areas depends on story progress.
Finding sites and planning your route
Activity markers reportedly remain question marks until you approach and reveal their type. Marking a revealed icon can display a route line. PowerPyx’s activity guide recommends opening Silos and Safehouses for fast travel, and leaving difficult combat activities for later if you are under-leveled. Difficulty and farming notes
The Pitted Stain
PowerPyx describes The Pitted Stain as a higher-level fight. Its author encountered it at level 34 in their playthrough and suggests returning if the bosses display red skull icons. That level is guide-author context, not a universal entry requirement or fixed level for every player.
Loot and repeat runs
ComicBook.com lists notable loot associated with each site and reports that Moxxi’s Encore Machine can reload sites for repeated farming if you have enough money. Treat its item and elemental recommendations as guide advice: the cited coverage does not establish official drop rates or guarantee a particular result.

Source and version context
The location and boss lists come from specialist guides published in September 2025, rather than an official Gearbox or 2K location reference. They agree on the six-site checklist, but the available information does not establish that boss tuning, loot, or access has been rechecked against a particular 2026 game version.
