What does evolution do?
Evolution is a progression mechanic intended to make eligible units stronger. The Anime Vanguards Fandom wiki reports that evolving a unit can affect its stats, attacks, passives, or upgrade levels, and that not every unit necessarily follows the same requirements. In practical terms, evolution is not one fixed recipe that applies to the whole roster. Check the specific unit’s current evolution screen before spending materials, and compare the displayed changes with what that unit does in your team.
What materials are needed to evolve a unit?
There is no single material list that can safely be applied to every unit. A third-party evolution guide dated March 2026 and labeled Update 11 describes unit-specific materials, essence stones, and gold, and places the process in an Evolve room in the lobby. Its costs and directions are version-sensitive: the Roblox listing showed an update date of September 6, 2026 when checked, later than the guide’s stated reference point. Before farming or spending, inspect the current in-game requirement for the unit you want to evolve. If you use an external guide, confirm that its update/version matches the game you are playing and that its listed materials and route still appear in-game.
