There are eight Propaganda Speakers in the Fadefields in Borderlands 4: two each in Coastal Bonescape, The Howl, and Dissected Plateau, plus one each in Hungering Plain and Idolator’s Noose. The game’s map and waypoint lines are the best way to pinpoint the six speakers without specific landmark directions here.
Fadefields Propaganda Speaker checklist
| Guide number | Subregion | Count | Location guidance |
|---|---|---|---|
| #1–2 | Coastal Bonescape | 2 | One is at a cliff-edge summit above Shammy’s Shack. The other is on Plungeford’s upper eastern level, north of the Fishin’ Spot. |
| #3–4 | The Howl | 2 | The location list confirms both are in The Howl; use the in-game map icon and waypoint line for precise navigation. |
| #5 | Hungering Plain | 1 | The location list confirms one speaker here; use its map icon and waypoint line. |
| #6 | Idolator’s Noose | 1 | MapMaster places this speaker in Rosemary’s Reserve; use the discovered map icon and waypoint line to reach it. |
| #7–8 | Dissected Plateau | 2 | One is described as beside golden pipes. The retrieved location details do not specify a landmark for the other, so follow the in-game map marker. |
The numbering follows PowerPyx’s game-wide list: Fadefields entries are #1–8, followed by speakers in Carcadia Burn, Terminus Range, and Dominion. Its guide lists 27 speakers in total: PowerPyx’s Propaganda Speaker locations.

How to find and complete a speaker
- Open the map, inspect the Fadefields region’s progress, and filter the map to show collectible icons. PowerPyx lists Square on PS5, X on Xbox, and F on PC to inspect hovered-region progress; it lists D-pad Right on PS5 and Xbox and B on PC to filter icons. Controls can differ with customized settings, so check your current bindings if these inputs do not work.
- Approach an undiscovered collectible area. The guide says its icon appears when you get close; unfound icons are blue and completed ones green. Select a discovered speaker icon and follow the waypoint line for navigation.
- Interact with the speaker to start ECHO-4’s hack.
- Defend ECHO-4 from the enemies that arrive while the hack runs. The speaker is complete when the process finishes.
When to return for cleanup
Some collectible areas may require campaign progress or completion of a side mission. PowerPyx says free roam continues after the story and side missions can be replayed, so these speakers are presented as cleanup rather than missable collectibles. If a marker or route is inaccessible, continue the relevant mission or activity and return later.

MapMaster says completing all 27 Propaganda Speakers unlocks the Shut Up Already challenge and awards a vehicle cosmetic, XP, Eridium, and cash. It also says each speaker awards SDU tokens; these reward details are MapMaster’s claims, not independently verified game documentation: MapMaster’s Borderlands 4 Propaganda Speakers guide.
