Edition aircraft and Career Mode are not the same list
Microsoft says most, but not all, aircraft included with MSFS 2024 editions are used in Career Mode, depending on whether they fit the available activities. The simulator also allows third-party aircraft in Career where appropriate. An edition roster should not be read as a promise that every aircraft can be used in every Career activity. Microsoft’s FAQ explains the qualification.

Some MSFS (2020) entitlements carry over
Microsoft says aircraft and airports from the MSFS (2020) Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions work in MSFS 2024 when you sign in with the same Xbox Live account. The company says “virtually all” Marketplace add-ons carry over, with very few exceptions. Third-party content may need the developer to list it for sale in the new simulator, and any upgrade charge for non-Microsoft content is set by that developer. MSFS 2024 is a standalone sequel, not a paid upgrade. Check Microsoft’s carryover and compatibility FAQ for the conditions.
Launch platforms versus current availability
Microsoft announced Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S availability at the November 19, 2024 launch, alongside Game Pass availability. The current product page also lists PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, so current availability should not be confused with the original launch-platform announcement. See Microsoft’s launch announcement and current product page.
