Traits are modifiers for individual units, and the right one depends on the unit’s job, your team’s placement limits, and what is holding your build back—not a universal tier list. For the current effect wording and odds, check the live Trait Index beside Mandra in the lobby’s Upgrades area. The detailed percentages below are snapshots reported by AnimeVanguards.org in March 2026, not verified current game data.
How traits and rerolling work
A unit holds one trait. The March 2026 guide says you can reroll it by spending one Trait Reroll token at Mandra in the lobby’s Upgrades area. It also reports that evolution does not reset a trait, traits cannot be transferred, and stat transfers preserve the target’s trait and pity. Treat those mechanics as guide-reported: confirm what the current client displays before spending tokens.
A Fandom search result also says summoning can yield a trait and normalizing does not reset pity, but the page could not be fetched. Those details are provisional rather than established here.

This table reflects AnimeVanguards.org’s March 2026 fan-guide snapshot. Its own footer warns that the site is fan-made and game content may not be fully accurate. A September 2, 2026 unofficial guide likewise cautions that percentages, odds, tiers, and restrictions may change. Use the live Trait Index for current values.

How to choose a trait for a unit
Start with the unit’s job
For a main damage dealer, compare damage and attack-speed effects with critical bonuses that the unit can actually use. For a support or control unit, extra range may matter more than personal damage if it helps the unit reach the relevant targets. For an economy unit, consider Fortune only if the current in-game description confirms the reported Yen or upgrade-cost benefit.
Check placement limits before chasing a bonus
Monarch’s reported one-placement limit can outweigh its damage bonus if your plan needs multiple copies of that unit or if losing another placement would leave a team role uncovered. Assess the entire lineup, not just the affected unit’s numbers.
Rank #2
Identify the build’s bottleneck
Ask whether the unit needs more damage, a faster attack interval or ability uptime, more range, or better farm income. A percentage bonus is useful only insofar as it addresses the constraint that matters in your setup. Ability timing, evolution, stats, Familiar, Memoria, enemy resistance, and mode rules can all affect whether a trait is relevant; a recommendation from one unit or mode does not automatically transfer to another.
Compare options in the context of the mode
Use the goal you are trying to clear and the conditions of that mode to judge trade-offs. A range gain that helps in one setup may contribute little in another, while a damage or speed bonus can be less valuable if range or placement coverage is the real constraint. The September 2026 guide recommends defining the unit’s role, checking the full live effect, and comparing under controlled conditions; those are evaluation principles, not independently tested results.

When to reroll—and when to stop
Rerolling spends a Trait Reroll token, so weigh a possible improvement against the trait you already have and the content you need to clear. A theoretical tier upgrade is not automatically worth more tokens if the current trait already meets that goal.

- Do not spend for a rare trait solely because it ranks highly in a guide; its fit depends on the unit, the rest of the build, and the mode.
