Curios are equippable accessories with passive effects; Relics are a separate progression system whose effects you select. This guide organizes Curios by chapter, flags routes that can be missed or depend on random drops, and explains how Relics unlock across later cycles. Counts differ between guides: GameGuides lists 37 Curios including the Deluxe Edition Wind Chime, while PowerPyx lists 36 plus one edition-exclusive Curio, so treat totals as dependent on inclusion rules.
What Curios and Relics do
Curios are equipment
Curios are accessories equipped through the equipment menu. Their passive bonuses cover attack, defense, resistances, movement, resource recovery, and conditional effects. Some are straightforward rewards from bosses or containers; others require a quest, a particular route, or repeated attempts against enemies that may drop them. Acquisition descriptions and effects below are guide-reported, not independently tested.

Relics are selectable progression rewards
Relics are not Curios or ordinary inventory accessories. The first five become available through chapter progression, and each offers three passive-effect choices. You activate an option to suit your build rather than receiving all three effects at once. Black Myth Guide’s 2026-09-24 account says later cycles let you add activations as you repeat chapters, carrying progression into New Game Plus.

Which Curios to prioritize
There is no tested universal best combination in the cited guides. Pick effects that address your immediate combat need, and account for their conditions before using an equipment slot.

- For damage: compare direct Attack and critical-hit bonuses with conditions such as low health, full health, Light Attack Combo hits, or being chilled.
- For survival: consider defense, damage reduction, and the relevant Bane Resistance for the enemies giving you trouble.
- For mobility or resources: movement speed, stamina recovery, maximum stamina, and Might recovery support different play styles.
- For utility: XP and enemy-material bonuses are useful for progression or farming rather than a direct combat increase.
- For pair bonuses: Jade Moon Rabbit and Gold Sun Crow are reported to enhance one another, so compare the combined benefit with other Curios you could equip.
How the Relics unlock and work
First five Relics
Black Myth Guide names the first five Relics as Craving Eyes, Fuming Ears, Hubris Nose, Envious Tongue, and Grieved Body. They are chapter-progression rewards. Each has three selectable passive effects; choose an available option based on the attribute or combat behavior you want to support. Repeating chapters in later cycles can add activations, making the system cumulative across New Game Plus rather than a new set of ordinary accessories.
Freed Mind and the sixth Relic
For the sixth Relic, Freed Mind, Black Myth Guide reports that defeating Erlang alone does not make it immediately selectable: complete the ending sequence and enter a new cycle. This unlock sequence is the guide’s account of in-game behavior, rather than official developer documentation.

The chapter checklist follows GameGuides’ “All Black Myth: Wukong Curios,” released 2024-08-19 and updated 2025-03-12, which labels itself a work in progress. PowerPyx’s “Black Myth Wukong All Curios Locations,” dated 2024-08-20, supplies route and missability details, including the Maitreya’s Orb patch change. Their Curio totals do not fully reconcile: GameGuides reports 37 including Wind Chime, while PowerPyx reports 36 plus one DLC/Deluxe Edition Curio. Black Myth Guide’s 2026-09-24 article covers Relics and the reported Freed Mind unlock sequence. These are guide sources, not official developer documentation.
