Festive Fish locations and conditions
Use this checklist to find each fish. The locations and conditions below are reported in Destructoid’s December 19, 2025 guide; the special ripple cue is also described in the game’s official December 2024 update.

How to complete Even Fish Are Festive
- Go to the biome listed for the fish you need.
- Look for a red-and-green fishing ripple, the visual cue for Festive Fish.
- For Festive Fugu, wait until it is raining before fishing at Dazzle Beach.
- For Festive Anglerfish, fish in the Forgotten Lands between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- Catch all five Festive Fish to complete the duty and receive the Santa Hat.
The five-fish requirement and ripple guidance are reported by the 2025 Destructoid guide. The official Gift of Giving 2025 announcement lists the Santa Hat as the duty reward.
When are Festive Fish available?
Festive Fish are seasonal and available only during the Gift of Giving event, according to the official 2025 event announcement. That event ran from December 17 through December 31, 2025. Those are the latest official dates established here, not a confirmed schedule for 2026. Check a new official event announcement for the next dates and any changed fish conditions.
