Which Genshin Impact characters have Pneuma?
HoYoDex’s Arkhe reference, updated March 26, 2026, lists these Fontaine characters as Pneuma-associated:
- Lyney
- Freminet
- Neuvillette
- Charlotte
- Emilie
HoYoDex is a secondary database, and the official character materials cited here do not publish a single consolidated, current alignment roster. Treat this as a source-supported list, not a guaranteed exhaustive roster. The official Fontaine character page identifies the regional cast but does not label each character’s Arkhe alignment; HoYoWiki’s Vision page groups characters under Pneuma and Ousia but its indexed view does not expose a complete textual roster.
What does Pneuma mean?
Pneuma is one of Fontaine’s Arkhe alignments. It is separate from a character’s elemental type: a character can be Hydro, Cryo, or another element while a particular attack or ability carries Pneuma alignment. A character’s alignment reference therefore does not mean every one of their attacks is Pneuma-aligned. The relevant trigger depends on that character’s talent.

Pneuma and Ousia are the two sides of the Arkhe distinction. The official Version 4.2 update notes document a particularly clear example in Furina’s kit.
Furina can switch between Pneuma and Ousia
Unlike a character listed with a single associated alignment, Furina can change her Arkhe alignment with a Charged Attack, according to HoYoverse’s Version 4.2 update notes. Under Pneuma, she summons the Singer of Many Waters, which periodically heals nearby active characters. Under Ousia, she summons three Salon Members; they attack nearby opponents and consume nearby party members’ HP to increase their attacks. These are the mechanics documented in the Version 4.2 notes; check Furina’s current in-game talent description for any later changes.

KeqingMains’ Version 4.0 overview also describes Hydro Traveler as able to produce Pneuma-aligned damage. This is a separate access path from the Fontaine character roster above: include Hydro Traveler when asking broadly who can use Pneuma, but keep them distinct when the question is specifically about listed Fontaine characters.

How to verify a character’s alignment in game
- Open the character’s profile and inspect the relevant talent description.
- Look for the attack or ability trigger associated with Arkhe alignment; do not assume the whole kit or every hit has that alignment.
- For Furina, account for the Charged Attack toggle, which changes which summon appears.
- If you need a patch-current complete roster, cross-check talent text in game against an updated character database. The official Fontaine cast page alone does not establish alignments.
