“All Legendary Shotguns” most plausibly means Destiny 2’s Legendary-rarity shotgun inventory. The available catalogs do not establish a verified, deduplicated list of every unique Legendary shotgun that is currently obtainable, so a database total should not be mistaken for a complete in-game roster. Bungie’s item records do confirm the classification and weapon details of specific examples, including First In, Last Out, Ragnhild-D, and No Reprieve.
What “all Legendary Shotguns” means in Destiny 2
Legendary describes an item’s rarity; shotgun describes its weapon type. Neither label alone tells you how a weapon handles or where to obtain it. Bungie’s records identify First In, Last Out, Ragnhild-D, and No Reprieve as Legendary Shotguns.

The size of a database index is not the same as the number of distinct, currently obtainable Legendary weapons. Destiny2.GamesRef.com reported 177 shotgun entries on its page inspected October 8, 2026, but that figure counts database entries, not a verified roster of unique Legendary shotguns available in current activities. Its index also presented 2,208 total weapons; that broader figure likewise describes the site’s index, not an in-game count of obtainable weapons. Destiny2.GamesRef shotgun index
A separate manifest-derived catalog marks individual weapon entries by rarity and other attributes, but its existence does not settle which entries are current drops or how alternate versions should be counted. Light.gg shotgun catalog

Confirmed examples and how they differ
| Weapon | Confirmed frame and details |
|---|---|
| First In, Last Out | Bungie lists it as a Legendary Shotgun with a Pinpoint Slug Frame. The frame fires a single slug and has a more predictably vertical recoil pattern. Bungie item record |
| Ragnhild-D | Bungie lists it as a Legendary Shotgun with an Aggressive Frame. Its record includes Subsistence and Adrenaline Junkie among its perks, and Häkke Breach Armaments as its origin trait. Bungie item record |
| No Reprieve | Bungie lists it as a Legendary Shotgun with a Pinpoint Slug Frame. Its record includes Feeding Frenzy and Headstone among its perks, and Right Hook as its origin trait. Bungie item record |
These are verified examples, not an exhaustive list. They illustrate why a useful catalog needs more than a weapon name: frame and perk options affect how an individual shotgun behaves, while rarity alone does not.
How to check a weapon before relying on a list
- Confirm the item. Search the weapon in Destiny 2’s in-game Collections or consult its Bungie item record. Check that the item is identified as a Legendary Shotgun.
- Separate versions. Decide whether the list counts only unique weapon names or also includes variants such as Adept versions. Keep that rule consistent rather than counting variants as separate weapons by accident.
- Compare the weapon details. Record the frame, element, ammo or slot, rate of fire, perk pool, and craftability where relevant. These are weapon-specific details, not facts that can be inferred from the shotgun category.
- Verify availability independently. Check current in-game Collections and current activity or vendor information for each acquisition source. A database entry proves that a record exists; it does not prove the weapon currently drops from a particular activity.
What a complete current roster still needs
A reliable “all” list needs a stated counting rule, a deduplicated roster checked against current in-game records, and a separate verification of each weapon’s acquisition source. The catalog indexes cited here and Bungie’s records for the three examples above do not, by themselves, establish all three. Without those checks, the accurate answer is that Destiny 2 has Legendary Shotguns, but the cited material does not support a definitive count of unique, currently obtainable weapons.
