There isn’t a reliable, timeless item-by-item list of every material in Once Human: categories and recipes have changed, and third-party databases count different things. For a current lookup, search the maintained Hidden Gaming Lair interactive map, then confirm the item in your active game scenario before farming or crafting.
How to look up a material in Once Human
-
Search for the item in the Hidden Gaming Lair materials database. Its Materials section covers ores, ingots, parts, and fuel, with item information for sources, recipes, and crafting stations. The map page reported 419 materials and said it was last updated October 6, 2026; that is the database’s count and scope, not an official total of every material in the game.
-
Open the item’s entry to see its listed sources and uses. The site added “used to craft” item-page information in early October 2026, making it easier to check what a material feeds into.
-
For a target quantity, use the site’s crafting calculator. It traces raw materials, crafting steps, and stations, and supports alternate recipes, including scenario-specific options.

-
Check the item tooltip, crafting menu, and scenario objectives in your current game. The Once Human Wiki resource database cautions that availability can vary by active scenario and region. A listed source or recipe is a planning aid, not a substitute for checking your current build.
-
Before committing to a long farm, verify the exact recipe and station for the option you intend to use. Recipe requirements and crafting stations can differ between recipe options; the Once Human Database crafting guide is another reference for checking them.
Why material lists can disagree
Different directories do not necessarily count the same categories. The Hidden Gaming Lair labels its 419 entries as materials—ores, ingots, parts, and fuel. The Once Human Wiki resource directory reports 448 entries across a broader set of categories, including crafting materials, special minerals, energy, and fuel. Those figures have different stated scopes, so neither should be presented as a universal in-game count or proof that the other directory is wrong.
Lists can also fall out of date when the game changes item names, acquisition routes, or recipes. A community reference such as the older Fandom materials list can help identify familiar acquisition patterns, but compare its entries with current game menus and a maintained database before relying on them.

Common ways to obtain materials
Materials are acquired through several different loops. Older community references describe these categories and examples, but those examples are not a guarantee that every item, name, or location remains current.
-
Mining: collect ores from deposits; copper and iron ores are examples in older lists.
-
Processing: use crafting stations to smelt or process raw resources into usable materials. Older examples include copper and bronze ingots and charcoal.
-
Disassembly: break down collected junk to recover components such as electronic parts, adhesive, or rubber in older lists.

Gathering and hunting: collect natural resources such as logs or raw meat.
-
Looting and activities: some consumables and other items come from containers or activity rewards rather than resource nodes.
For location-level farming, use a database organized by map and scenario, then confirm the suggested source in game. A route that works in one scenario or region may not apply in another.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why older material guides may no longer match
On March 2, 2026, the Once Human Development Team described a broad technology and resource overhaul in its official development blog. In the overhaul details for a test, the team said: “Tin and aluminum ores will no longer spawn in the open world map, and all related ingot formulas have been restructured.” It also described consolidating multiple fabric tiers into Cotton Fabric, multiple part tiers into Standard Part, and multiple plastics into All-Purpose Plastic.

Because the blog distinguishes test details from release and notes that some release details could differ, treat these as documented overhaul plans rather than a guarantee about every live build. Check current menus before assuming a material has disappeared or a recipe has changed.
