Helldivers 2’s February 10, 2026 Machinery of Oppression update sent players to Cyberstan, the Automaton homeworld, to disrupt Cyborg production and weaken Automaton defenses. It introduced three Cyborg enemies: the squad-commanding Agitator, the close-range Cyborg Radical, and the heavily armed Vox Engine. The Warbond mentioned alongside the launch campaign was Siege Breakers—not the separate Ironclad Democracy Warbond announced later in September.
What is Cyberstan in Helldivers 2?
Cyberstan is the Automaton homeworld, depicted in the February campaign announcement as a landscape of industrial factory cities and inhospitable complexes defended by environmental hazards. The launch offensive set two main goals: stop the production of more Cyborgs and compromise Automaton defenses. Optional objectives included destroying mega-factories building by building and removing statues. Arrowhead’s February 10, 2026 announcement describes the campaign’s launch, not Cyberstan’s current Galactic War status.

The launch event also used a global reinforcement counter: every Helldiver death counted toward a finite pool, and the campaign would be lost if the counter reached zero. That was a mechanic announced for the February event; it should not be taken as confirmation that the same counter is active now.
What are the new Cyberstan enemies?
The update’s three new Cyborg enemies present different battlefield problems: an armored commander that influences other Automaton units, a fast attacker that closes distance, and a large war machine armed for heavy firepower. The descriptions below reflect Arrowhead’s announcements, not independent weapon-matchup testing. The developer announcement on Steam provides the detailed enemy descriptions.

| Enemy | Battlefield role | Threat |
|---|---|---|
| Agitator | Heavily armored field commander | Directs Automaton forces and can take control of enemy squads, adding coordinated pressure. |
| Cyborg Radical | Fast close-range attacker | Rushes Helldivers from multiple directions; its body has undergone cybernetic and biological enhancement. |
| Vox Engine | Large rolling war machine piloted by a high-ranking Cyborg officer | Combines dual laser cannons, rockets, and laser gatlings into the heavy-weapon threat of the group. |
Agitator: the squad commander
The Agitator is not just another armored target. Its role is to direct Automaton forces and take control of enemy squads, so leaving it in play can intensify pressure from the surrounding units. Its command function makes identifying the leader an important part of reading a fight.
Cyborg Radical: the close-range rush attacker
Cyborg Radicals are built to close distance quickly and attack from multiple directions. Their speed and rush behavior make them the most immediate close-range pressure among the three named enemies.

Which Warbond was associated with the Cyberstan campaign?
The Warbond Arrowhead mentioned as recently deployed alongside the February Cyberstan campaign was Siege Breakers. The announcement called out its G/SH-39 Shield as defensive assistance. It also mentioned the War Horses armor set in the Superstore. These references place Siege Breakers in the campaign’s launch context; they do not establish it as a Cyberstan-exclusive set.

Is Ironclad Democracy the Cyberstan Warbond?
No. Ironclad Democracy was a later, separate Premium Warbond. Arrowhead announced it on September 15, 2026, for release on September 22. Its listed contents were:
- Weapons: AR-11 Arbitrator and GL-15 Evictor primary weapons, plus the P-34 Breacher secondary weapon.
- Throwables: G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker and G-8 Immolation.
- Armor: BFM-16 Tanker light armor and BFM-220 Ironclad heavy armor.
- Other items: Integrated Extinguishers booster, capes, player cards, an emote, a title, and tank patterns.
Arrowhead’s Ironclad Democracy announcement describes the G-60 as a grenade-delivery drone that follows the user and homes in on nearby enemies, and the G-8 as a fire grenade. It says the Integrated Extinguishers booster reduces the time needed to extinguish fire; these are the developer’s item descriptions, not independent balance findings. The announcement says the Premium Warbond requires the base game, Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.
What is Cyberstan’s current status?
The February campaign announcement does not establish who controls Cyberstan now, whether its campaign remains active, or whether the planet is accessible on October 8, 2026. Arrowhead’s official news feed includes later updates, including Devoid of Liberty posts in August and a September 24 hotfix, but those entries do not report Cyberstan’s live Galactic War position.
